I am quite the adventurer, and love taking advantage of everything the city has to offer: live music events (Terminal 5 / Bowery / Brooklyn), dinner w/ friends (i'm a foodie), cocktails (i used to have a speak-easy hook - Try Little Branch/Bookmarks/Bars & Books), sports (tennis or gym), and movies/films (i'll watch anything).
I am a Southern gentleman, well-educated in the North, boarding school kid, financier/investor, tennis flame-out, romantic, writer, scientist, singer/performer, sports enthusiast, and dreamer. I'm looking for the real thing or just some fun times & a laugh.
I have traveled to 3 continents so far in 2015, but am going to spend more time in NYC now that hopefully the weather gets better in Spring/Summer.
Finance in the healthcare field.
tennis - i've been playing tennis since age 5
karaoke - i'm a decent singer, would love to sing more
NBA trivia - my older sister got me hooked on basketball at a young age
dancing - i moonwalk, but i'd love to learn more formal dancing w/ a partner
Movies - Coming to America, Trading Places, The Jerk, Star Wars, Wes Anderson flicks (e.g. Royal Tenenbaums)
Authors - Orwell, Vonnegut, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Food - I will try any food or restaurant, but do like to research NYC restaurants online
Music - all of the above, but love indie bands, 90s pop, classic rock, 80s music, motown
Honestly, I've been thinking a lot lately about why I can't get Clearly Canadian anymore. also, how i can end up as an executive or board member for either the nba or marvel (now part of disney).
i find myself thinking about my parents & sisters a bunch, what the world will look like in 2025 & 2050. I guess also how right/wrong movies about the future will be.
