I am mercurial, socially-orientated, and impulsive.

My Self-Summary

Nearly nineteen, I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, filming, making friends, hanging out with said friends, parties, beaches, thunderstorms, vibrant and stimulating colors, vivid imaginations, engaging conversationalists, philosophers, philosophizing, bananas, learning new things, culture, language, spirituality. I do not associate with organized religion, but I do not judge anyone who does. Well that's not entirely true--I'm not particularly tolerant of ignorance. However, I'm not the snobby atheist type who thinks that religious affiliation and intelligence are mutually exclusive. Socially, I am very liberal. Life is short and youth is shorter--I do not intend to spend the few years I have wishing them away. I am interested in interesting people and interesting experiences. Lengthy conversations about (most) anything are of interest to me. Disregard for others, poor hygiene, and the "I don't give a shit about anything" mentality of life are all extreme turnoffs. Confidence, intelligence, and compassion are huge turn ons. Filming and writing are my passions and I am currently working on four major writing projects and one short film. I'm bipolar, bisexual, and I hate noise (the cacophonous sort). I am a conversationalist, a spaz, and a devoted friend--a poet, an artist (albeit a shitty one), a novelist, a wannabe filmmaker, an aspiring alternative model, and a sometimes fuck-up. I'm as much of a masochist as I am a sadist--I can be the naughty minx, but I always bite back. I'm wild, witty, and tantalizing (the last two are certainly arguable). A brat, a tease, a scholar, a schoolgirl--I'm violently affectionate and consistently inconsistent. Confident and capable--I live the moment and I firmly believe that anything is better than boring.
Je parle francais depuis quatre ans. J'adore la langue et les gens qui la parlent.

Don't be surprised if I ask you out to coffee or something of the sort relatively quickly. I'm far more into actually getting to know someone in person than messing about online.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in Hua Hin Thailand until February (or else someplace in the southeastern asia vicinity). Generally, I'm trying to experience as much as possible and do whatever the fuck I want. School is for learning things I want to learn--not a means to an end. I have my own car.

I’m really good at

anything I put my motivation and time into being good at. I've recently discovered that I have a knack for bondage.

The first things people usually notice about me

Eyes and manner of speaking, maybe, or my tendency to become extremely (and comically) awkward at random intervals.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Currently reading--"Possession"

"Generation X"
"Still Life With Woodpecker"
"Seven Types of Ambiguity" It's great. Very different style/vibe than a lot of what I've read recently. It's one of those books that takes a little to get into. At first you're not attached to the characters--or at least you don't think you are--and then way later in the book all of a sudden it's like whoa, I genuinely care what happens to them. And not just normal-I'm-rooting-for-the-good-guy kind of thing, like, I really felt like the way the book ended was going to have significant bearing on my own personal future.

I wrote my thesis paper on Palahniuk. My favorite of his works is "Rant"- very good Vonegut-ish fictional voice biography.
I like satire, action, historical, romance (not the shitty kind), mystery, memoirs, psychology, philosophy, interesting political/religious commentary. I have encountered very few books that I did not enjoy on some level. If you open your mind to learning, almost anything and/or anyone can teach you something.

Movies.."Waking Life" is a favorite.
I love thrillers, action, indie films, anything that peeks my interest with cool effects, interesting directorial decisions, weird combinations of actors, etcetera, random fucked up plot lines, classics. I watch a lot of movies.

Nearly every genre of music appeals to me. I'm particularly fond of folk, experimental, indie, and reggae. Modest Mouse and Death From Above 1979 are two of my favorite bands. I dislike Fall Out Boy.

Bananas and mint chocolate chip icecream are my favorite foods...but not together. I like italian, thai, japanese, vegetarian, and organic foods. Fruits and vegetables are a must. I am a vegetarian and am hoping to eliminate all refined foods and animal products from my diet in the near future, but this will probably wait until after I return from Thailand). Honestly the only things I consistently like to consume are water, blueberries, apples, and NOT diet coke (I gave it up! The only soda I drink now is the occasional Sprite and I'm moving toward eliminating that entirely!)

The six things I could never do without

Myself.
Sebastien (my cat, he's lovely).
Other people.
Physical necessities.
It isn't all that difficult for me to make do...I value experience over material wealth.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the UK.

On a typical Friday night I am

anywhere!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can be extraordinarily quirky and odd. Some people like it, some people think it's awkward. Some people like it and think it's awkward. I'm one of the latter. Also, I'm open to just about anything sexually and otherwise. Also, I'm good at talking myself into temporarily believing that bad ideas are fantastic ideas.

You should message me if

you want to.

I'm particularly fond of people who:
are intelligent.
write more than two sentences per email.
are kinky.
can spell correctly.
are nerdy/awkward/quirky.
care about something.
speak french =)
