My self-summary
** July update: Reviving this profile in search of rad, fun, and friendly company with possible makeout potential as that is what fits best into my summer standing. Inquire within for more details. **

Optimistic, curious, affectionate, open-minded, kind, playful, active, geeky, flexible, patient.

Get around on two wheels. Play on eight wheels. Work on four wheels.

Cook at home slightly more than eat out. Or at least that's the aim.

East coast transplant (with a midwest mitten stint). Most of my Portland decade has been spent in N/NE but mixing it up in SE right now.

Hitting the road (or the skies) once or twice or thrice a year.

Sometimes quiet until I start talking a lot.

Sharing some on here but prefer to share more in person.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to seek out that which makes me happy while doing as little harm as possible.
I’m really good at
Adapting. Balance. Running around. Relaxing. Tangents. Taking a photo of you doing that thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to think I am much younger or mention that I smile a lot or note my dimples. My flip phone garners a fair amount of attention these days too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - The Lorax, Ender's Game, LotR, Santaland Diaries, The Road, A Song of Fire & Ice, World War Z. Though, I have read many more zines than books.

Movies - Office Space, High Fidelity, Lord of the Rings, Run Lola Run, Princess Bride, Big Lebowski, Wishful Thinking, Wes Anderson.

TV - Everything Whedon (Buffy, Firefly, Dollhouse, etc), The Office, The Wire, 24, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Dexter, Mad Men, The Guild, Bored to Death, Parks & Rec, Daily Show, Colbert Report.

Music - A mix of punk and indie rock from the 90's or so - such as Alkaline Trio, Green Day, Rilo Kiley, The Weakerthans, Weezer - and a smattering of local bands, college stations, Top 40, and mixes from friends over the past decade.

Food - Healthy with dashes of junk. Many weeks include burritos, fruits, veggies, rice, potatoes, pasta, water, tipples, and trying something new here or there. Thai, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Ethiopian all rank up there too.
The six things I could never do without
Play (and rest).
Growth (and learning from mistakes).
Laughter (and friends).
Travel (and coming home).
Patience (and persistence).
Sleep (and cuddling).
Love (and honesty).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This, that, and the other thing... such as the universe, that cute girl on a bike, dinner, which faraway friend to visit, why people are so bad at treating each other equally, how to cheer up friends feeling down, getting my geek on, pie (pizza or pumpkin), and so on.
On a typical Friday night I am
...usually not doing the same thing as last week.

March Fridays:
Artwalk and rock show in Honolulu (while visiting old friend in HI).
Bar hopping to enjoy beer & card games with various friends around town.
Dinner and drinks and bonfire on Alberta.
Free Fourth Friday at the art museum to Loving Hut to Tugboat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This online dating thing can be a little weird but did meet a few great people during an earlier stint with it, so I'm back to at least put myself out there. Still, it seems not-quite-right to learn too much about a person from a computer screen, so I'm just trying to present a general overview here and saving specifics for direct communication.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–40
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You are enjoying life while trying to make it even better.

You combine smart, silly, sweet, and sass. Feisty is fun too.

You enjoy busy days and lazy days and those in between.

You fall outside the M-F/9-5.

You chuckle at jokes like this: "I haven't slept for two weeks... because that would be too long."

You prefer to meet up after exchanging a couple messages (as opposed to a lengthy back-and-forth chat) to see if there is any real life chemistry. No matter how well people connect online, you just don't know if there's any true compatibility until meeting in person. If we click, perhaps it can lead to friendship? If we connect deeply, maybe something more? If we fall flat, going our separate ways is okay too. I mean, obviously.
