Art gallery and chill?
I'm goofy, weird, and awkward. You'll need a sense of humor and an open mind. I'm passionate and outspoken, but I also love to listen and learn. I am greedy for experience and laughter and sunshine and cool nights and magical people, but I have also learned to appreciate stillness and routine.
I work for a small nonprofit and get to put my passion, creativity, and wild ideas to good use. I travel a lot in the fall, so I may be hard to catch.
I'm trying to ride bikes a lot more.
I can't pin my tastes down to any particular style or genre of music, but I can say this with absolute certainty: I don't trust anyone who can sit still while listening to James Brown.
I can't pick a favorite book, ever. I usually enjoy YA. It's not a book, but I love the Utne Reader. I really enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire series and will hardcore nerd-out about it if you want. Biographies are fascinating. Tell me about the books that have made you cry or fucked your whole life up. I want to read them.
There is a pretty good chance I haven't seen most of the movies you consider awesome, so don't be surprised when I say "oh, I haven't seen that, but I'd love to." Things that come to mind: Pan's Labyrinth, Harold and Maude, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Closer, Almost Famous, Romeo + Juliet, Stop Making Sense, The Departed, Star Wars IV-VI, Francis Ha, O Brother Where Art Thou.
I don't have cable and haven't for many years, but I loved The Food Network and HGTV. I really enjoy Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The X Files, 30 Rock, House of Cards, Broad City, and American Horror Story. If it's a political or crime drama, I'll probably like it.
I have Beyoncé's Super Bowl performance bookmarked on all of my electronic devices.
I'm fatter and cuter in person.
Must know how to approach a woman without using "hey cutie" and other such variations.
I'm also looking for platonic friends, so if you think it would be neat to hang out, let's make it happen.
