My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to Philadelphia for work. I'm a hardy Midwestern gal with Southern roots, so this place is... different. I'm adjusting.

I'm goofy, weird, and awkward. You'll need a sense of humor and an open mind. I'm passionate and outspoken, but I also love to listen and learn. I am greedy for experience and laughter and sunshine and cool nights and magical people, but I have also learned to appreciate stillness and routine.

Life is an adventure, which sounds really cliche, but like literally right now every day feels like a day on the Mississippi River with Lewis and Clarke... except there's deodorant and a lot of concrete, instead of smelly middle aged men in the woods. Actually who am I kidding there's still smelly people and a fair amount of wooded area but whatever.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Going a lot of places and trying to see lots of things. Getting into discussions about what the future could look like if we try hard enough and dream big enough. Asking myself the hard questions and nearly always digging deep and dealing with a lot of feelings and never feeling sorry for it. Looking for brave people with magic in their eyes.

I work for a small nonprofit and get to put my passion, creativity, and wild ideas to good use. I travel a lot in the fall, so I may be hard to catch.

I'm trying to ride bikes a lot more.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mixing drinks and decorating my apartment. Telling stories. Eating all of my vegetables. Mediating conflict. Cooking and baking. Saying no to pants. Being a feminist killjoy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

A life without cheese is a life I have no interest in.

I can't pin my tastes down to any particular style or genre of music, but I can say this with absolute certainty: I don't trust anyone who can sit still while listening to James Brown.

I can't pick a favorite book, ever. I usually enjoy YA. It's not a book, but I love the Utne Reader. I really enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire series and will hardcore nerd-out about it if you want. Biographies are fascinating. Tell me about the books that have made you cry or fucked your whole life up. I want to read them.

There is a pretty good chance I haven't seen most of the movies you consider awesome, so don't be surprised when I say "oh, I haven't seen that, but I'd love to." Things that come to mind: Pan's Labyrinth, Harold and Maude, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Closer, Almost Famous, Romeo + Juliet, Stop Making Sense, The Departed, Star Wars IV-VI, Francis Ha, O Brother Where Art Thou.

I don't have cable and haven't for many years, but I loved The Food Network and HGTV. I really enjoy Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The X Files, 30 Rock, House of Cards, Broad City, and American Horror Story. If it's a political or crime drama, I'll probably like it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family. Ice cubes. Pizza. Cardigans. NPR. Coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can make the world a better place. Community. Fucking with the status quo. Colors. Becoming a supervillain. Online dating as a performance art piece.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unwinding from the past week and wondering why in the Sam Hill y'all make getting a bottle of wine much more complicated than it needs to be. Back home we keep our wine in the 24-hour grocery store next to the cereal, where it belongs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Lil Wayne's voice makes me want to take my clothes off.

I have Beyoncé's Super Bowl performance bookmarked on all of my electronic devices.

My ultimate goal in life is to make all of my neighbors assume I am a witch. And also possibly be a witch.

I'm fatter and cuter in person. Get over yourself.

you're into passionate, eccentric, and slightly neurotic ladies. If you'd like a friend to explore with. If you want to ride bikes or go for a walk. If you're open to being challenged. Do you read tarot? Let's read tarot together.

Must know how to approach a woman without using "hey cutie" and other such variations.

I'm also looking for platonic friends, so if you think it would be neat to hang out, let's make it happen.
