My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Nerdy, geeky, liberal (seriously, liberal. Anyone with any conservative view points need not apply, seriously!)
So, I absolutely despise drama, though it does have a pesky knack for finding me. Goes with flow.
I'm always interested in doing new things, but I can kind of be a chicken sometimes and might need to be talked into somethings (wine usually works).
I'm adventurous, but not necessarily athletic, if that makes sense to you. Even though I am a native, I don't really enjoy hiking. (yeah, I know that's strange. So be it.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
That's a great question. I've had a handful of jobs, and while they've been fine in terms of keeping me solvent, I've recently decided to stretch my arms a little and find a new career direction that's a little more satisfying than clock-in-and-clock-out. I'm pretty excited about it (except when I'm nervous about it!)

I do a whole lot of different things with family and friends, some of which I'm good at and some not, but most importantly, the time I spend with them is what fulfills me. (In case you're curious, in descending order of bad-assery, I volunteer, play bar trivia, volleyball, and softball.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friend, listening, and seeing the positive in most any situtation.

My smile. I've been told it's "unreasonably alluring." I have my doubts, but we'll go with it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read constantly, so it would be difficult to name all my favorites. BUT, I'm big into sci-fi and great story telling, such as Christopher Moore, Stephen King, Robert Jordan, and Issac Asimov, Anne Bishop...
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of my new favorite movies. It's a perfect blend of 80s, humor, cheese, music, Chris Pratt, and Groot, and I am sorry, but if you don't like it we can't be friends.
I listen to all types of music. Some of my favorites include Avett Brothers, Band of Horses, Mumford and Sons, The Beatles, Marilyn Manson, Anti-Flag, Regina Spektor, and Ozzy.
Going to any concert is fun - I might even care if I like who's playing! Some of my favorites have been; Flogging Molly, Edward Sharpe, Goyte, The Head and the Heart, The Shins, The Lumineers, Tenacious D, and The Offspring. Oh, and every time I go to Riotfest, it's more awesome than the one before it. Seriously, try it sometime, even if you don't like me. (But that'd make you crazy, so.. well anyway, you get the idea.)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't know if there is anything that I could never do without, with the exception of the usual, oxygen, water, food, sleep...however, there are things that make life a whole lot more comfortable and enjoyable e.g., my family, friends, my phone, my nook, a comfy set of clothes, and water bottle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where life is going to take me next? Why are T-Rex's arms so short?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Spending time with my friends, going to the movies, perhaps a concert, having a cider, chilling with a book, whatever is striking my fancy at the moment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I sometimes eat like a 5 year old. It's hard to say no to Frosted Flakes and Oreo's.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
So, after a few times around the block, I'm starting to get a good idea of what I'm after. Here are some general ideas:
- You're NOT looking for someone just to shag. I mean, come on, get on tinder or something if that's all you're after. I'm not a prude or anything, but I'm old enough to know the difference between "trying to build something" and "trying to butter her up."
- If you're comfortable enough to have a good idea of what you're about. I've been out of my mom's basement for awhile, and I'd really prefer it if you were too.
- If you're looking to forge some kind of real relationship. I have met a lot of good friends through here, but, really, I'm looking for someone to be my partner in crime/life/adventure. You know, a *partner*.
