But they're not kidding when they say two is significantly more intense than one. Damn, dude.

making people laugh, cooking, kissing, fucking, recalling bizarrely minute pieces of trivia, and being a dad. I'm a more than capable masseuse, but I'm sometimes finicky about giving massages. Not really sure why. And I will take you to school in Mancala. I once was able to play Mancala with my eyes closed for like 8 moves in a row, and still win. It's kind of creepy, actually.

One thing I'm not particularly good at, but would like to get better at is blogging regularly. I've been trying to be better about it.

I have kinda floppy hair. And I smile a lot. Oh, and currently I have sideburns. They're kinda striking.

Sometimes I grow ironic mustaches, but they usually don't last long. I get tired of sleeping on the couch.

Words: I'm a big sci fi fiend. I tend to find an author I like and read everything they've written. I'm a big fan of Iain Banks, Vernor Vinge, Charles Stross, China Mieville, Karl Schroeder, Neil Stephenson, Douglas Adams, Kim Stanley Robinson, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Robert Anton Wilson, Tim Leary, Steph Swainston, and pretty much any other author that offers "big ideas". I like fiction that fills me with wonder.

Moving Pictures: I don't really watch very many movies anymore. I used to be a movie nut, but now I tend to prefer to watch series on dvd. I prefer longer narrative arcs, and movies don't really seem to be able to go deep enough for my tastes most the time. Some favorites though are Ghost Dog, Raising Arizona, Fight Club, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and Repo Man. Series wise, we really enjoy Arrested Development, Big Love, Battlestar, Heroes, Lost, Torchwood, Rome, Carnivale, and Weeds.

Pretty Sounds: I'm a heavy KEXP listener. I grew up on punk rock, and love early glam/punk. Stuff currently on my non-denominational MP3 player includes the Clash, the Magnetic Fields, Mclusky, Blackbird Raum, David Bowie, the New York Dolls, the Thermals, Gogol Bordello, Hole, Thee Headcoats, The Misfits, The Mountain Goats, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Future of the Left, Nation of Ulysses, The Beach Boys, and The Flesh Eaters. But I love old country, and new hip-hop, and Tuvan throat singing (Huun-Huur-Tu, yo!), and lots of other things. I've worked up some pretty sweet channels on Pandora as well, focusing mostly on psychedelic rock, early garage, and horror movie themed bands. So let me know if you're interested in hearing anything, and I'll send you the info.

Comestibles: Food. I like to eat it. I like to cook it. I'm not very picky.

Cooking dinner for my family, putting my daughter down for sleep, and then watching television series on dvd with my wife until I collapse in a heap. I know you just want a piece of that action!

Also, if you want something more salacious... Cheetara on the Thundercats was the first crush I ever had, that I knew what was going on. It was the first time I realized what that tingly feeling meant.

If you own a bow and arrow. One of my goals in life, that I've not yet fulfilled, is to shoot an arrow into a pumpkin. A crossbow might be cool too, but really, I'd like to shoot a pumpkin with an arrow.

Also, if you like the idea of meeting new people in the format of a back yard bbq. The kind of barbecue where the kids get hopped up on watermelon, and the adults get hopped up on hops and hop. Bocci ball is encouraged, political grandstanding is not discouraged, and banjos score extra points. Seriously, if you're the kind of person who spontaneously juggles or plays acoustic punk ballads or throat sings for no reason, I'd love if you came to my barbecues.
