I am polarizing, thoughtful, and tranquil.

My Self-Summary

I am not your typical 32 year old...not around these parts, anyhow. I am not divorced, I have no psycho exes, and I have no children. Yes, I have a townhouse and a car...but I'd have to say my relative age is probably more around 27 than 32. So...think of me as that...27. Anyhow...

I am eclectic. I am eccentric. I am somehow shy and yet bold...genuine and also honest. I am occasionally apologetic, but never for me being who I am. I often inadvertently cross lines with my raunchiness: needless to say, I must love the taste of toe jam, because my feet are often in my mouth! (lol)

I grew up w/in 20 miles of the pacific ocean, in a place where there were also streams, lakes, and rivers. As such, I am incredibly fond of nearly all things involving water...swimming, rafting, canoeing, rowing, sailing, rock skipping, etc.

What I’m doing with my life

Living day to day trying to figure it all out.

I’m really good at

I cut through the bs to the heart of the person and/or the matter at hand. I'm good at seeing the whole picture, and not getting stuck up on minute details.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm reserved; tend to be quiet at first. I'm not very sure how this comes across, but I have been told that I can be intimidating (which I dont mean to be!). I am also very curious. People probably notice that I look around a lot and/or ask a lot of questions.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Currently, I own a few books that I intend to read...but just havent yet: I am also slowly reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by K. Hosseini (author of The Kite Runner); I have also begun and not finished Catcher in the Rye (J.D. Sallinger), and recently picked up a copy of a Million Little Pieces (forget the author). So far, I really enjoy this book, which is to be expected, as I LOVED The Kite Runner (but couldnt get into the movie). I want to read Bonk! a comical non-fiction on sex research...written by the same person who write Stiff! The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers.
For movies, I can be diverse: comedies, indie films, foreign films. Movies that come to mind are Pumpkin, Delicatessen, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Cane Toad: An Unnatural History.
I love indie music; am a tried and true KEXP fan. I prefer the more mellow side of this genre, such as Mirah, Iron and Wine, and Cloud Cult...though I do love me some Peaches and The Arcade Fire.
For foods, I am inclined towards Asian: Thai, Indonesian, Indian, Vietnamese, and some Japanese, though sushi has never been my thing.

The six things I could never do without

1. my dogs and cats
2. indie and electronic music
3. well written books
4. internet
5. good friends
6. my kinky award. i worked hard for that, god damn it!! i hate you okc...you took it away AGAIN???

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The state of the world, what I should be doing, traveling, evolution and the formation of species.

On a typical Friday night I am

I am likely hanging out at home with my dogs (by choice) and quite possibly a friend or two. Or maybe having a drink or two before heading home before the bar closes.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

You will have to ask.

You should message me if

You are at least somewhat cute, fun, funny, intelligent, and enjoy the outdoors, culture, art, and animals. You should have some goals for your life and some drive to achieve them. I'm not talking type A personality here...kill your way up the corporate ladder. Just someone who has a little direction in life. Oh, and a car..not that I need you to drive me places, but so that if you happen to not live in my town we can take turns driving. Yea...and a job. Again, dont want you to buy me things, but be able to, say, put gas in your car...or be able to go out for dinner and drinks on occasion. =)
