My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Constantly Under construction because like many people, I have no idea what to write.

I am moving from Seattle and will be in Chicago October 1st. Woot!

I don't really have a check-list for a partner. Or a list of requirements or prerequisites that a man needs to have before I'll date them. I blame online dating for that. With that said, how about we talk and see if we can stand each other first. :-)

So let me just ramble on for a minute about myself:
I like bacon. A lot. It's kind of a joke. It is by far my favorite food. I love to sing. I was an opera performance major in undergrad. I love being on a stage, though when I was younger my stage fright was severe. I even blacked out a few times. I've gotten over that and even finished performing my first one-act opera. I'm a bit of a video game and sci-fi geek (PS4). I cry when I watch certain movies. I had a nasty phone addiction, which prison helped me break. Now that I'm out, I have unfortunately relapsed. (P.S. I worked in the prison. Mental health unit.) I've never watched a basketball or baseball game. I've never had surgery except for oral surgery for my wisdom teeth, which decided to grow in sideways. Little assholes. I read my first book all the way through when I was 29. I had my first alcoholic beverage around the age of 25. I've never tried Marijuana, or any other drug. I'm very neurotic and I've come to like that part of me. I've never met my dad. I love water-related activities (don't be dirty!).

In the few short years since I got my masters I've had a very wide range of clinical experiences, my favorite being the work I did at prison. It never gets old to think about how I've met and worked with so many murderers. Also, the longer I work as a therapist the more normal I feel. Go figure.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
What am I doing with my life... good question. I'm focusing on building my career and myself. Currently I am a Director of Social Services with a skilled nursing company. My plan is to get my MBA (second master. Yuk) and work my way up the management ladder. I also spend as much time with friends as I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing. Playing video games. Being sarcastic and a smart ass! Self deprecating humor. :-P My neurotic superhuman ability to read into things way too much.

I can make a mean grilled cheese too!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmm, physically probably my smile and/or my eyes. I get comments about those. And my hair, which adds a couple inches to my height. :-) My faux hawk is kind of a part of me. Unfortunately, the older I get the thinner my hair gets. I wonder what I'll look like bald!
I've also been told that I have an "effervescent" personality. I'm still trying to figure out what that means.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like a lot of different things and it would be hard to name them all. However, I love the Sword of Truth book series. I'm a little bit of a fantasy/scifi geek. I love scifi movies and TV shows. I'm into a lot of different kinds of music and don't really have favorite genre. In general, I'm not a big reader or an avid music listener, but maybe a movie buff.

Movies (or TV shows) I like:
Under the Tuscan Sun, Big Hero 6
First Wives Club, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
Serenity, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica
All the lord of the rings
The Incredibles
All the Bourne movies
Sunshine be continued
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Childish enthusiasm
Stubbornness to never give up (Seriously, I can obnoxiously pursue a goal until I get it.......Doesn't work on men very well. :-/)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, both how I want it to be and how I can make it be that way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Well I'm up for many things but left to my own devices, I imagine I would be watching TV (Netflix, since I don't have cable) or playing video games. Saturday nights are usually my social nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
10 short years ago it was super hard for me to make eye contact with people.
