Who am I? This question has always left me at a loss for words. I
could say, "I'm Tyler," but does my name really tell anybody who I
am? Many people who when asked to describe themselves would respond
with the many groups they identify with. Not me. Though seen by
others, I do not view myself as white, male, American, etc. I know
many other members of these groups are not at all like me, nor do I
feel any sense of comradery with them. The only way I know how to
properly tell someone who I am is to tell them the attributes of my
character.
There are many layers to my being. I'm an extremely non-judgmental
person. This is highly to do my Relativistic way of thinking. I do
not see good, bad, right, wrong. Instead I focus on preferred and
not preferred. I am very curious and I'm often found researching,
contemplating, evaluating different ideas. I consider myself to
have a great mind and I'm attracted to those who have great minds
as well. It is one of my greatest hobbies to sit with someone and
discuss great ideas, following the path it takes us down, and
inevitably coming out with a better understanding than that which
we had in the beginning.
To Be Continued...
I am a full-time student at Kennesaw State University majoring in
History Education. My plan is to teach high school World History
when I graduate. While doing that I hope to go back to college and
work towards a doctorate in
Philosophy or
Sociology, which is where my heart
truly lies. Whatever career I end up in though, I feel destined to
become a writer. I've tried to avoid it in the past, but something
is always calling me towards it.
Work related, I'm trying to become certified as a Substitute
Teacher, but I'm currently unemployed. I'm well off though;
scholarships pay for most of the costs incurred in my life.
I not exactly skilled in many areas that produce tangible results,
except writing. I can write one hell of a paper. However, I do have
a great mind. I'm very philosophical and can easily understand as
well as construct abstract ideas.

Of being...
“If it’s true that we’re all from the center of a star, every atom
in each of us from the center of a star, then we’re all the same
thing. Even a coke machine, or a cigarette butt on a street in
Buffalo, is made out of atoms that came from a star. They’ve all
been recycled thousands of times as have you and I. And therefore,
it’s only me out there. So what is there to be afraid of? What is
there that needs solace seeking? Nothing, there is nothing to be
afraid of because it’s all us. The trouble is we have been
separated by being born and given a name and an identity and being
individuated. We’ve been separated from the oneness, and that’s
what religion exploits. That people have this yearning to be part
of the overall one again. So they exploit that. They call it God.
They say he has rules. And I think it’s cruel. I think that you can
do it absent religion.” - George Carlin
"Man is condemned to be free." - Jean Paul Sartre
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to
us." - J. R. R. Tolkien
Of society...
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness
of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good
system. There's where my discontent comes from: being forced to
choose to stay outside. My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place." -
George Carlin
"The philosophers have already perceived the world in various ways;
the point is to change it." - Karl Marx
