My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Rocked out for a good 10 years almost a decade ago. Back in school for almost 5 years trying to finally get my engineering degree... probably got another 5-10 to go (at this rate)... along w/ work/overtime and playing some Metal rock and roll music and the usual errands. Non-stop excitement.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Staring at things for long periods of time... then occasionally something fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drumming, driving (some mechanical stuff too), technical support. Persistence, avoiding most drama if possible.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I try not to be so noticeable... what ninja?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Most books I've read were non-fiction, historical , sci-fi or educational (including repair manuals). It takes a long time for me to read books (last was Guns, Germs and Steel and half way through Diamond age - since 2007). School text books, manuals for work.

I haven't seen many movies in the past 10 years. Although I'll list: Back To the Future, Idiocracy, Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, Food Inc, The Big Lebowski, Superbad, The Hangover. Don't take drama/soap operas too seriously and don't really watch it.

T.V.? I guess I catch myself watching Top Gear, 2 Broke Girls, and WQED including many Rick Sebak/Rick Steves specials (no cable at my casa) and a bunch of documentaries.

Metal, post metal, prog, some punk, prog rock, nwobhm, black metal, Scandanavian post black metal (Enslaved fits most of these). Krallice, Paatos, Brutal Truth, Slayer, Deltron 3030, Carcass,The Roots,Ulver, Gridlink, Absu, Scorpions, Rigor Mortis, Queensryche, Budgie, Meshuggah, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Neurosis, Voivod, Steely Dan, Emperor, Vektor, Bethlehem, The Monkees.... I also think Nelly Furtado is OK, shhh.

vegetarian things, pizza, my burrito creation, indian, thai, kung pao and cheesy gordita crunch. I don't go out to eat much these days, though.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Family/friends (as nuts as they are)
-Some sort of goals
-life experiences
-knowledge/ability to figure things out (not the greatest, but it's going)
-any form of non-self-destructive stress relief.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to keep things interesting, even though life does that a lot for me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
could be laundry, band practice, on call tech support, perhaps a show containing some aggressive rock and roll with a brew or two, gym, worst case, homework.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to pick up the change.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You don't mind a fairly busy person.
-You can tolerate and maybe enjoy loud energetic rock and roll music/shows on occasion. Also, working on mechanical/technical things maybe too.
-You have the ability to help me do things like get outdoors, hiking, biking, (stuff other than yard work, lol).
-You made it this far and think we can make a compromise and make it work.
