My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
While I am pretty sure that most of you are only going to look at the pictures, I figured I would write something about myself for those of you who actually read these profiles.

It's really hard to describe yourself seriously on here, but I will give it a go....I'm a special ed. teacher (SEIT) who is down to earth. I've been told I am combination fun, sweet, somewhat sassy, a little sarcastic, honest, thoughtful by my friends, but they could be lying right? I'll let you figure that out. I also love witty banter and a good sense of humor. I have a pretty serious job that I love and everyday life can be serious at times, so I try to find the humorous side in everything.

Like most everyone else on here, I like spending time with my family and friends. I also like to travel, a good walk, good food, a good beer, music/concerts, tv/movies, brunch, a good book, Saturdays and Sundays too. Also, of course I love Central Park, which is one of my favorite places in the city.
What I’m doing with my life

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ha, seriously?
The first things people usually notice about me

My DVR -which is only how I can manage to watch this long list is a variety of shows for when I have time to catch up. Here are just a few: Orphan Black, Mad Men, Halt and Catch Fire, Luther, The Newsroom, House of Cards, True Detectives, Parks and Rec, Curb, Louie, You're The Worst, Homeland, Bill Maher, Craig Ferguson, Jon Stewart, Colbert, 60 Minutes, BBC World News, Morning Joe, Meet the Press (I miss Tim Russert). Anything Chris Rock, Ricky G, or Louie. BBC-A shows-The In Betweeners, Friday Night Dinner, Graham Norton. Honorable mentions go out to The West Wing, Seinfeld, Friends, and The Office reruns.

Daily: The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Twitter (great news aggregate not for tweeting)

Recently: mostly Johnathon Tropper books and Gone Girl

Last year: The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Curious Incident of the Dog, The Help and some ridiculous Chic Lit

Honorable mentions go out to Jane Eyere, Atticus Finch, Holden Caulfield, and The Women.

Movies: last few good ones (not many in the last few years) Philomemenia, August: Osage County, American Hustle, The Way Way Back, Perks of Being A Wall Flower.

Old Favorites: Usual Suspects, Trainspotting, Swingers, Chasing Amy, Blazing Saddles, Ted, Old School, Superbad, Bridget Jones, The Big Lobowski

I usually like anything really funny, nothing scary and love anything thought provoking (which are usually the independent movies or documentaries).

Music: I am pretty eclectic and have been to a fair amount of concerts. Just too many to list. I do love the Beastie Boys.

Food: American, Italian, Mexican, Pizza, Sushi, Thai, Pizza. I mean it's NYC how do you choose?

I think this is the one section you can usually tell you a lot about a person.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Water/Tea (I drink a lot of it)
2) lip balm
3) sunscreen
4) DVR
5) fruit
6) something to read books/newspaper/magazines
These are kind of basic, but you know what did you expect me to say?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A lot is too strong of a word for any of these except maybe the last one.

1) Why is this taking so long to fill out...

2) Why Time Warner cable costs so much and never works (really not a lot of time)

3) Will I ever find the time to learn the guitar?

4) The lack of manners people have today

5) Why no one can put down their phones and just enjoy themselves.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably out to dinner with friends/family or in my comfy clothes on my couch hanging out watching Bill Maher or with Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's not that easy....

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a funny, self-aware, intelligent, laid back, good guy possibly with a bit of an edge (sarcastic witty banter is a plus).

You're tall (actually considered tall, not just taller than me which is pretty easy), you like parentheticals (kidding-obviously I do), love pizza, The Mets, Orioles, and/or The Terps.

Obviously looks and chemistry is important and understood. However, looks only go so far. A great personality, humor, intelligence, self awareness and being laid back is what's most attractive to me.

I can't believe I have to say this, but it keeps coming up. You're sincere and pretty straight forward, meaning the only games you like to play involve sports or on a board. I am not looking for an email or sexting penpal, flakes, drama, or crazy.
This should be easy right?!

Or you want to. You never know!
