My self-summary
Academic. Traveler. Coffee enthusiast. Environmentalist. Runner. Fins fanatic. I'm originally from South Florida, and boomeranged around the US (New York, then California), before returning to the Sunshine State for work. Still trying to figure out Northeast Florida. I am impressed by the level of fried chicken and shrimp and grits consumed in this area.
What I’m doing with my life
Professor at a university. Publish or perish!
I’m really good at
telling stories, especially embarrassing ones. I used to play the drums but I'd like to think I can shake off the rust when the occasion arises.
The first things people usually notice about me
In the South, I have learned that I talk quickly. Also, apparently I have a somewhat ambiguous ethnic lineage (guess it correctly and you get a prize!).

The six things I could never do without
1. Friends and family
2. Trader Joe's Pita Chips with Sea Salt
3. Skepticism
4. Music
5. GPS
6. Traveling
I spend a lot of time thinking about
human rights, deli sandwiches, and whether Donald Trump is pulling the biggest trolling scam in the history of the United States.
On a typical Friday night I am
binge watching TV, reading, or hanging out with friends in Jax Beach or Riverside.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I flew across the country for a date on Valentine's Day with a girl I met online. She turned out to be real so that's something.
You should message me if
you enjoy lively conversation, maybe even verbal sparring. Or you clamor for the opportunity to converse with someone who considers education a virtue. Or you are looking for someone who is emotionally and occupationally stable. Or seeing Marco Rubio bumper stickers makes your blood boil.
