My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Blunt, funny, intelligent and curious.

I'm a lawyer who litigates issues involving financial products and employment matters and things.

I enjoy learning new things and laughing. I did a bunch standup comedy shows and am happy to report that I found my favorite hobby. I prefer people and things that are engaging. I don't mind disagreement.

I like knowing about what's going on in the world (politically, culturally and other adverbs) and I probably have an opinion and/or a joke about it.

Nothing turns me on more than funny, engaging and substantive conversation. I want to hear about your thoughts and I want you indulge me when I tell you about mine.
What I’m doing with my life

COMEDY: Standup, TV, whatever. If something is smart, funny and hopefully dark, I love it.

TV: Game of Thrones, The Wire, Broad City, Peaky Blinders Mad Men, Daily Show, Always Sunny, Workaholics, Legit, 30 Rock, Happy Endings, New Girl, The League, Scrubs. No Reservations. Basically most of the stuff you watch.

Movies: Pretty much anything with Edward Norton or Jason Statham. Some random favorites: The Lives of Others, Annie Hall, Old School, Defiance, Coming to America, Up In The Air and Get Him to the Greek.

Books: War and Peace, Anna Karenina, Game of Thrones (pretty open about my obsession), The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Tropic of Cancer, Portrait of Dorian Gray, All the King's Men, Fountainhead, The Young Lions, The Firm, American Psycho, Crime and Punishment, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Compromise, Child 44, Game Change, The Big Short. Attempting to get going with Infinite Jest right now...I'll keep you posted.

Music: At this point, you might have been hoping that we'd be into the same obscure band and that maybe we'd bond over how unappreciated they are and then we'd live happy ever after or what not. That would have been amazing, really. But it's probably not going to happen because I generally listen generally listen to some hardcore, mainstream shit. I enjoy oldies, hip hop and pop and what have you. The Beatles, Sam Cook and Creedence Clearwater Revival are things I enjoy. I also enjoy Drake, Eminem, Slaughterhouse, the Black Keys, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean and Ed Sheeran. I make no apologies for any of this.

If you think the Stones are better than the Beatles, I doubt this is gonna work.

Food: I'm not a foodie but I am happy to consume and learn about good food. I'm even a decent cook when I set my mind to it.

You're up for going to see a comedy show, getting a drink, hanging out in Prospect Park and/or playing Cards Against Humanity.

If you're interested in developing a real connection with someone, I'm definitely down.
