My self-summary
Firstly, thank you so much for reviewing my profile. Secondly, please forgive me for it's totally lack of wit or originality.

Moved here from London 24 years ago and certainly consider NY to be my home. In addition to lots (and lots) of other things, looking for a partner in crime; someone to experience the good and the not-so-good that life brings our way – definitely more of the former! Just waiting for that elusive something to just "click" with an intelligent and funny guy. Who isn't?

Without sounding horribly conceited, if you feel inclined to "Like" me, that's incredibly generous, but due to the limits of my membership, I have no idea who you are - just in case you're wondering why I don't respond. Thank you.
What I’m doing with my life
I work on the creative side of advertising as a Creative Director so my interests lean towards the arts, especially photography. My career can be pretty demanding, but I love it, and appreciate how lucky I am to be able say that. My job has taken me all over the world but I would still love to see (much) more of it, particularly Africa. When not working, I try very hard to be active. I really love biking and I'm pretty diligent about the gym but far from fanatical.
I’m really good at
Being honest. Being loyal. Being compassionate. Being a good friend. Being a good uncle to Oliver/Bertie and Cecelia Rose. Being a good Godfather to Beatrice. Playing with dogs. One thing I'm really bad at is cooking. Perhaps that's a British trait. My oven is 4 years old and has never been used - terrible, I know.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly, I haven't the slightest idea. I'm a pretty shy/reserved sort (which people understandably mistake for me being aloof) but in truth, I really love to laugh out loud. People occasionally say I look like Russell Crowe, but that tends to happen when they're (very) drunk, so it doesn't carry a great deal of weight. But then I get paranoid and think "Gladiator", or "Noah"...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love cinema! Blade Runner, Barry Lyndon, A Prophet, The Elephant Man, Death in Venice, I am Love, Blue is the Warmest Colour, Waiting for Guffman, There Will Be Blood, Alien, Incendies, Under the Skin are just a few. Love Terence Malick and David Fincher. Some recent favourites include Timbuktu (A MUST-SEE), Whiplash, and Two Days and One Night, Best of Enemies, Tangerine was amazing. Recently, Carol and Son of Saul. Have seen The Revenent twice - just incredible film making.

Music - Radiohead/Thom Yorke, Jose Gonzalez, Elgar, Atoms for Peace, Arvo Part, Kate Bush, and Prince - generally the older stuff.

Not much into TV, but loved "Summer Heights High" and "The Comeback". Also "Breaking Bad", obviously.

Favourite books include: The Road, Blood Meridian, No Country for Old Men (big Cormac McCarthy fan), London Fields, Money (also a Martin Amis fan), In Cold Blood, Being There, The Corrections, and Freedom. Currently reading The Roving Party, set in Tasmania in the early 1800's. Try to read The New Yorker every week - not always successful.
The six things I could never do without
Friends.
Family.
Chocolate.
Dogs (I don't have one. Yet).
Vintage cars (I don't have one. Yet).
A place to get away on the weekend. (I don't have one of those either. Yet.)
Stay tuned.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future. And who I might be spending it with. Also, Plan B.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having dinner with friends. Going to see a film. Exercising. Heading up to MA. Heading out to the beach. It all depends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Probably something to discuss on the 3rd date...
You should message me if
If any of this resonates and hopefully it will.
