for fun:
I love the movies, independent as well as mainstream. I read mostly non-fiction. I like theater, museums, local art and enjoy experiencing restaurants of all kinds. I find mosaic tile work meditative and relaxing.

my job:
I'm a social worker/therapist for a large, local health-care organization and do some private practice work. It's rewarding knowing you've helped people through difficult times.

my religion:
I come from a non-religious Jewish background and consider myself more spiritual than religious.

my education:
I went to USC for my graduate degree in social work.

favorite hot spots:
Love dining out, especially Indian, Thai, sushi, vegetarian. Meeting for coffee at Rebecca's or wine tasting at Wine Steals. Last big trips were in Berlin, Hong Kong, England, Scotland and Italy. Would like to see Canada, Paris, Prague, more of US

favorite things:
Read too many great books to name! Like the Sunday paper and some magazines . On the Telly I like Rescue Me, ER, PBS. I can't live without my English tea, chocolate, mashed potatoes, and great music from alternative, to classic rock to top 40.

last read:
I usually read a few books at a time. Mostly non fiction. Suze Orman, Now Discover Your Strengths, Harry Potter, If Buddha Dated are on my nightstand. By the time you read this, maybe I will be on to something else...

I’ll bet when you signed up you never guessed you’d meet a fun, but laid-back, world-traveling, British transplant whose friends describe her as compassionate, passionate, intelligent, funny and loyal but here I am. I moved to Southern California from London when I was 17 but still have friends from my childhood there and high school here. My English background has provided me with excellent manners, an appreciation of good tea and I'm always on time! One of my favorite places in San Diego is Balboa Park since I miss the great parks in London. It has so much to offer different tastes from walking and admiring the beautiful scenery, to the museums, theater and restaurants. I like to walk, hike, do yoga and hoping to buy a bike soon. The great California weather enables me to workout outside twice a week with my trainer. I am open to new activities though don't feel the need to be on the go all the time. I like my downtime too to relax and regroup. Another favorite activitiy is eating out and I am always open for a new culinary experience! Let’s discover our local Indian, Thai and Italian restaurants and then plan our trip to those countries! Growing up in the UK and vacationing so much in other parts of Europe, I love to travel and try to explore other lands as often as I can. I was in Hong Kong in 2006 and my favorite site was The Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas in the town of Shao Tin. I climbed 500 steps to the great view at the top as well as lots of very colorful Buddhas and other deities. I am a woman who knows what she wants – a compassionate, intelligent, loyal, affectionate man who loves family life including animals thrown in too! I love children, even though I don't have any, and am more than happy to meet a man who does. You are a man who can also say what he wants. Together we will create a life that is excitement squared and calm magnified.

I just became a foster parent and am loving it.
