My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I would much rather build a computer than use it or make a movie than watch one. I would much rather take a chance and have it blow up in my face than not take it and live wondering what would have happened if I had. That's a really subtle hint to you, there. Did you catch it? I know, sneaky.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
All things come full circle. I am now where I started 15 years ago when I was in college, in television production. If you enjoy the KTTC morning show, NewsCenter Today, I'm there, behind the scenes, working my magic.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Accepting challenges. If somebody says that something can't be done, I will do whatever is in my power to prove them wrong. Because I'm stubborn. No, wait, not stubborn... awesome.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. I ask all the time, but they can't answer on account of I've already taken their breath away! ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: My favorite author is Michael Chrichton (author of Jurassic Park and The Andromeda Strain) but my reading is all over the charts. Honestly, I float between everything from Harry Potter to political non-fiction to Michio Kaku talking about theoretical astrophysics!

Movies: I'm completely scatter-shot when it comes to movies. From 12 Angry Men to Jurassic Park. From Shawshank Redemption to The Dark Crystal. From MST3K to Follow that Bird!

Music: I'll listen to mostly anything (except for really screamy metal and modern country, which is really just radio pop with a twang), but Green Day has been my favorite since like 1990 (old school, yo). I'll also name-drop The Ataris, Zebrahead, Fall Out Boy, and AFI just in case one of those set off your 'date-him-ometer'.

TV: I'm not one of those people who tries to sound sophisticated by pretending I don't watch a lot of TV. Nay, I am sophisticated because I watch only AWESOME TV. Community, Justified, Mythbusters, Walking Dead, and Food Network I try to watch with some regularity. Most of the shows I love are gone now: Breaking Bad, Parks and Rec, etc. I don't miss The Daily Show and do miss Colbert Report, but that's a different definition of "miss". Additionally, I'll watch anything created by Aaron Sorkin; The West Wing is my favorite show of all time, followed closely by Sports Night.

Food: I am a food lover. I will eat anything. Anything. Unless it has mushrooms. Or peas. But definitely mushrooms. Gross. I also like to cook, but don't do it as much as I'd like. I am working on cooking more, but a lot of what I do is just experiment in the kitchen, trying to make the next big thing. My favorite food, though, is the good old tried and true classic: Kraft Macaroni and Cheese!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family. Super important to me. Honestly, it's the only reason I'm still in Rochester despite many efforts to stray.

Lemonade for all the tasty blessings it has bestowed upon my tongue and throat. And belly.

My best friend of 20-some years.

That's 3. Good enough. I'm not greedy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why are hot dogs so much tastier when you buy them from a street vendor than when you make them at home?

What is Nicholas Cage going to be like when he's Clint Eastwood old?

What was the thought process of the first guy to look at a chicken egg and think "I bet there's something tasty in here".
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I never really know from one Friday to the next.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a single (duh) father with sole custody of my children. Don't worry, I can find a babysitter.

Seriously, I keep no secrets. If you wanna know anything, just ask.

You want an intelligent conversation, or a nonsensical one.

If you know all the words to "Magic Dance" AND will sing them loudly in public with me, chances are, I'll just go ahead and marry you then and there.

Also, if you're name is Eliot and you plan on giving me back the $10 you owe me. Contact me for that reason, also, please.
