I am outspoken, loud, and out of this world.

My Self-Summary

My name is Ashley. I have more love affairs with songs than anyone else you'll ever know. I'm a musician , songwriter, & music gormandizer.
My favorite artists / influences include An Horse , David Bowie , Jay Brannan , Brody Dalle , Tom Gabel , Nirvana , Placebo , REM , The Smiths , Silverchair , Tegan & Sara , & Allison Weiss.

I like to try to surround myself with good people and have fun. I love to quote the great master Eddie Izzard. I have an undying love for DIY haircuts, tattoos & piercings [currently I have two tattoos of my own and a few piercings] , Britpop ... well British anything really, Gibson guitars , horror movies , & music with a message.

I am a fairly simple person some would say slightly hippie-esque in nature. I only believe in a few things. Firstly “An injury to one is an injury to all.” When one suffers we all suffer. Violence is just overrated and too tolerated. Id much rather stand back and work things out with my mind first, violence should be the last option.
Not everything is black and white either I believe in just trying to make the best possible decision at the time and trying to strive for something better.

Honestly I love animals more than could possibly love the human race and I live a mostly vegetarian lifestyle but to be honest I am the most tolerant person you probably have met regarding so. It’s a personal choice and to each their own. I haven’t and never will pull a Morrissey on someone over their choice to eat meat.

I strongly believe that you do what you love and love what you’re doing then your life will be grand. If others have a problem with it then it is their own fault really and they really don’t belong in your life.
I always have and always will support those who dance to their own beat and don’t bat an eye at any looks pointed their way. Two of the most influential people on my life taught me this lesson and I strive to continue to live out this philosophy in my day to day life till I die.
You shouldn’t have to change who you are and/or how you want to present yourself or your opinions based on what the majority of society thinks of the norm. You have to have the ‘fuck them all’ attitude, grow a tougher layer of skin and move on in life or else you really will never get anywhere.
All you are doing then is surmising that their original opinion of you is right if you sit back and do nothing, and you will just end up a very unhappy individual if you allow yourself to be silenced. The safer route just isn't living, you have to take the risk and just do it and damn them all.

If you want to know the inner workings of my brain and what makes me tick honestly just ask and I most likely will give you an answer.

What I’m doing with my life

At the moment working full time at a retail job and on the side working on my art. I'm working hard to reverse that so music can be my full time job. I'm not the kind of person to take an office job, if I did and stayed for any length of time I am sure I'd end up killing myself or someone else, and I really don't fancy and early death or the idea of prison.

I just want to work in the music industry, whether it end up being in the writing aspect or working for another band or musician as a roadie or any aspect for that matter for a career I would be completely satisfied.

I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me

Is that I am extremely talkative & passionate about the things I care about.

The six things I could never do without

01. my dog.
02. guitars
03. friends
04. zune
05. laptop
06. my mobile

I spend a lot of time thinking about

music [writing, playing, listening, analyzing, consuming] Honestly it does take up a huge part of what makes me who I am and when there is an album coming out I have been waiting for I can become completely giddy with anticipation.
Really music in general takes up at least 90% of my life. Honestly on my 'bucket list' if you will, is to hit some of these major festivals at least once in my life.

Coachella [USA]
Reading / Leeds Festival [England]
T In The Park [Scotland]
Pinkpop [Netherlands]
Pukkelpop [Belgium]
Rock Am Ring [Germany]
Big Day Out [Australia]

When it isn't that I think it's what everyone in the world thinks about all the random escapisms and worries that fill everyones lives.

On a typical Friday night I am

Unfortunately I am working almost every Friday but those rare occasions I am off I am out with friends.

You should message me if

you do not feel the urge to ask me to have a threesome with you and your boyfriend [husband / partner whatever]. I do not enjoy my mailbox being filled with these kind of messages. No thank you, move on.

But you should message me if you think we have something in common or you like what you see.
