I am good enough, smart enough, and dogonit ppl like me!.

My Self-Summary

I'm me... I'm kind of tired of people saying "hey, your not like the rest or xyz person". No, I'm me. I like to ride motorcycle, hike, get out of the house, see places new, most off I like doing it with someone else. That's my problem now.
I'm happy with myself, no need to fill any gaps in my life other than being that second half of me to complete the circle.
I'm like most people in certain ways... I like watching movies, reading books (when the time is there), learning new things/technologies, trying to learn guitar LOL... that's pretty much where the delineation lies. I guess just getting to know me digs the rest up.

I do ride a cruiser motorcycle (non-Harley) as my main transportation, but I also have a car just in case it rains or I need to get groceries. I'm not a the typical "harley guy". I like to read about new technologies and innovations and see what it will do with life in the near future. I enjoy those quiet times just the same as I enjoy the fun times at a dance club.

What I’m doing with my life

Mostly work, as much as I hate to say that.
Right now just getting things situated around the house, working, and getting prepped for the holidays. Fun stuff eh? I'm sooo wild haha

I’m really good at

I'm really good at listening and giving advice on things going on in life. It's not that I know about everything in the world, it's just that I like to help others and listen to everything. Sometimes, that's just what it takes. If not, hey... there's someone to spout the problems to haha
I'm also good at fixing computer hardware, or at least getting things straightened out.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know what the first things are that people notice about me, really. I'm guessing my height. (5'5")
Some people first notice that I ride a motorcycle, or walk into where I'm at with leather gloves (as I'm taking them off) get a little tweaky.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite books are technical programming books, but then again I read most of my books at work! I do like some of Michael Chrichton's books, along with George Orwell's 1984 along with Animal Farm.
As far as movies, I like "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (2009, with Keanu Reeves), "O Brother Where Art Thou", "3:10 To Yuma", "American Psycho", "Hancock", "Deliverance", "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan", "Cannibal: The Musical", "Idiocracy", "Kalifornia", "Run Ronnie Run", "No Country For Old Men", and it's a toss up between "V for Vendetta" and "The Shawshank Redemption". I like lots of movies :)

I like Mediterranean food (Greek, Italian, etc), along with Ethiopian, German, a bit of French, & Indian of many styles.

With music, I'm pretty open. I'm not into modern country music, nor gangsta rap. The rest, I'm pretty open to. Marilyn Manson, Anthrax, Metallica, Bush, Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, Monster Magnet, Pink Floyd, Chopin, Beethoven, Information Society, and Nora Jones.
I am a huge 80's music fan! I love going to Martini Ranch and listening to Rock Lobster.

The six things I could never do without

The six things I coiuld never do without? hmmm such a huge list that can be chewed away to nothing depending on the situation...

1) My free will. As stupid of an answer as this may seem to others, it's something tath I do hold as the main line of defense against everything bad in life.
2) Someone in life I trust.
3) Some goal to shoot for, short term on long term... at least something!
4) Laughing and having fun. I love to turn most things in life into humor... it's what makes everything livable.
5) I can't think of anything else I couldn't do without...
6) please see #5

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I spend a lot of time thinking about how I can make life a little more of what I want. As general as that may seem, it can go from finding someone special in my life, all the way to when the next oil change may be. I think more about the first, however.

On a typical Friday night I am

On a typical friday night I am thinking about what I'm going to do this weekend hah
I like to get out of the house and do something different... but hey... I'm typing this on a friday night... so... there ya go.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I guess the most private thing I'm willing to admit here is one that's sure to come up with someone close.
I was in a bad motorcycle accident in December, 2007 (which I survived, in case your wondering!) and I woke with half of the lower part of my right leg missing. Pretty much from the start of the lower calf muscle, down.
I'm not disabled in life or anything since I have a heavy-activity prosthesis that can handle hiking, running, climbing, etc.
The only reason I mention it here is because it will weed out those that are disturbed by such a thing.

You should message me if

You should message me if you don't mind me using the words "laid back" or "easy-going" and thinking I'm a fake person for using those words in an email LOL You should also message me if you want to talk to me... remember, it's not sniping...

You should message me if you are looking for a guy who is not a "playa", and enjoys getting out of the house with you and doing anything from going to a movie, to going to South Mountain. Like getting out of town to Flagstaff for the day? Going to San Diego for a weekend? Roughing it at KOA? :) hah... It's life, enjoy it. Just having someone to talk to and share your deepest thoughts is a huge piece of life as well.
