My self-summary
Hi there. I'm Randy. Champion shower chanteur. Brain-busting civil crusader with a polished palate. With enough preparation I can avoid any cliche or invert any trope; I'm the Batman of wordplay.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm in my second year of law school at Wash U. I want to get into litigation (going to court), most likely criminal work, because that's where you get the most practice. When I'm not in school, I'll usually want to be doing or watching improv. If none of that is happening, I want to be playing a game or watching a movie or TV. And when I get hungry or bored, I cook or bake.
I’m really good at
improv, making people laugh. Those are the things I am best at. I'm not half bad in the kitchen either.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm super bad about getting haircuts, so my hair is usually crazy. Or maybe you heard one of my jokes?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book ever is The Picture of Dorian Gray, even though the middle drags a little bit. Also, The Sorrows of Young Werther literally changed my life. I've been getting into Dan Ariely lately too. Honorable mention to Stranger in a Strange Land for being my favorite book for basically all of my teenage years.

Casablanca is the best movie ever made hands down. I will brook no counterargument here. No Country For Old Men is a perfect film as well. I watch (500) Days of Summer when I'm sad and Shoot 'Em Up when I have the giggles. I also used to be able to quote along with Dr. Horrible in its entirety but I can't anymore so take that.

Breaking Bad is the best show on TV ever. Let's talk about it a lot. The Wire is a close second, and Friday Night Lights is third, though Coach is the best fictional character. As for comedies, I'm a sucker for Community (even season 4 :/ ) and Archer. And I watch all through Arrested Development about every other year, because it is the Right Thing To Do.

Arctic Monkeys are the best rock band since 2000, and AM is my favorite album right now. Beyond that, I just got the White Album (the Fleetwood Mac one, not the Beatles one), Excitable Boy (Warren Zevon), and Born to Run (The Boss) on vinyl and I am seriously grooving.

Also, there are so few situations in which I won't sing along if Billy Joel comes on. Funerals, I guess, though why would be playing at a funeral?

I'll eat most anything, though I'm not really fond of seafood. It's not a real meal if it doesn't have garlic and/or chocolate, though. I'll also drink most any whiskey or beer. If it's aged in a bourbon barrel, I want it. I have had dreams about sour beers aged in bourbon barrels before.
The six things I could never do without
Pretty much I could do without most things (except the bottom of Maslow's Pyramid I guess?), but there're definitely things I never want to go without. Like improv, or performance in general. Board games. Netflix. Toothpaste/toothbrush, because morning breath tastes gross. A kitchen. And a pen. Always have one of those on me. Comes in handy too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about a lot of things. Why more entertainment doesn't pass the Bechdel test. What makes a movie so bad it's good rather than just so bad. Board game strategy and design. The patriarchy, and how to fight it. Comedy theory. The law, and how it kind of sucks but also is great sometimes. How the future is awesome and we've been living in it for a long time, and it's only going to get better. How much I wish we still used zeppelins for things (It's like a cruise ship - in the air!). How the fact that there's so much chocolate pudding in the world that I haven't eaten gives me hope.
On a typical Friday night I am
Generally playing board games, or seeing a show, or out at one bar or another. Sometimes I'm busy Saturday and call it an early night and watch a movie or something. Sometimes Tuesday night is better than Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love sign language interpreters. I have no idea why. Just knowing that they exist tickles me. I am not deaf.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–26
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You want to nerd out about comedy or TV or movies or even law or whatever. If you're looking for somebody to go to a trivia or karaoke night with. If you want to play board games. If you think you maybe we have a future together.

Also if you are a sign language interpreter.
