I'm a 1st generation French/American, built like a lumberjack, who likes good food and good people.

I work in film and video as a freelancer (various jobs), sometimes from home, a client's office, or on set. I used to make a kids punk rock TV show with my friends here in DC which was a lot of fun. I like to cook and garden (vegetables & herbs, mostly). I make my own simple syrups for drinks (grenadine, blueberry, pumpkin spice, banana, raspberry and strawberry are a few that I've made). I brew beer with a friend, I've known since we were 7 years old, once a month. I'm re-teaching myself (online) to play the guitar, I've played for years but I think it's time I should learn for real. I've been doing P90X (you know, the late night commercials from beach body .com) it is intense, I've had injuries and restarted a few times, I see improvement, but I'm not crazy, I know it will take a lot of work and I'm doing just that.

Other random answers: I've got a few fiction stories that I am working on (I think I might need a class in creative writing). I try to bike to do errands or visit friends inside the city. I'd like to travel more, in and out of the country.

Well, I can say that I'm not so good at filling these essay questions out.

I'm a big guy.

I pretty much like anything Neil Gaiman writes. The last book I read was The Magician King, and before that The Hunger Games trilogy (and yes, I was a little embarrassed getting it from the YA section of the library). I love sci-fi films, but honestly, I'll watch everything. Musically, I listen to punk, jazz, soul, alt-country, folk and some world. As for food, I like a lot of different flavors, almost everything prepared well (I rarely say no to sushi, probably my favorite), it's easier to say that I don't love Ethiopian food (sorry, I know most people love it, I just don't get it, I can do it, just prefer not).

I like "chick flicks". (I must add that I also like action, thriller, sci-fi, independent, and dramatic films. I wish I had a passion for documentaries, but I tend to avoid them.)
