Time seems so finite at times that I get bummed out about how much I want to do. Friends, travel, learning, working- it's all just so interesting. On the other hand, the pleasure of sitting down and watching the world go by cannot be overstated.

I'm a software engineer for a non-profit online library. I bike to work because being trapped in a car isn't that fun. I try to run a few times a week because physical activity helps me to think. I spend lots of time reading because books are such great objects. I tend to spend my holidays traveling abroad because the world is such a nifty place to explore.

I would be a decent triathlete if I could just work on my swim, but the ocean is full of weird things (both organic and inorganic). I can cook a pretty tasty vegetarian meal but will occasionally eat meat if it's exceptionally prepared. I can also discuss the value of Euripides' The Bacchae to western civilization and chew gum at the same time. I also know how to shut up and listen to other people.

I'm actually paying attention to what other people are saying.
