A few books I've enjoyed:
'Harpo Speaks' by Harpo Marx
'The Last Campaign: How Harry Truman Won the 1948 Election' by
'Nixonland' by Rick Perlstein
'Wizard of the Crow' by Ngugi wa Thiong'o
and if it makes me a bandwagon douche, then so be it: "Remainder",
A few movies I've enjoyed:
'24 Hour Party People'
'The Pink Panther Strikes Again'
'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' (1978)
'The Thing' (John Carpenter remake)
'In the Loop'
'The Hunt for Red October'
James Bond films
'The Taking of Pelham 123' (original version)
anything Buster Keaton
Music? God, we could be here all day.
Radiohead, Wilco, Joy Division, Bowie, The Jam, The Mission of
Burma, Carl Newman, The Clash, The Chameleons UK, Neko Case, Jarvis
Cocker, LCD Soundsystem, the White Stripes, prog rockish type
things, bands where the bassline isn't the same three notes
repeated over and over again.
Basically, if you like the Talking Heads' song "Girlfriend is
Better", we'll get along fine.
Food-wise, I can and do eat anything. I love seafood, real Chinese,
dim sum, Italian (although, who doesn't?) and, oh, let's say,
Ethiopian, because it's food you get to play with.
