I have a big heart and have experienced the highs and lows of life. I have been blessed with a wonderful education and to have called Texas, Holland, Saudi Arabia, California and North Carolina my home. I have lived in Asheville for 13 years and truly adore these mountains. I love Western North Carolina and I think many people confuse the hipster, liberal and avant guard (cough) city of Asheville with over all Western Kakalaki culture. The two are very different. In a post-Kardashian age how can we tell the difference? If you and I ever go on on a third date - Ill take you to the top of the world for a picnic to listen the secret sound that clouds make when skirting mountain tops. Perhaps there in the thickets of sage and rhododendrons we can find the language of love - most likely it will be a raccoon eating your sandwich. I watched this when I was in an infantry unit training in the Sierra's of Northern California with the national guard. Sat on a rattle snake once. Kicked a dead porcupine on the road to saving the redwoods and it landed on my head. Danced with a she-bear on tequila. Sailed on ship with enemies from four wars and caught a shark together to promote world peace. We ate the shark. Climbed every mountain in the human soul.
Do you like rock-n-roll, punk, old school punk and new wave, alternative/Americana, old time music, classical, flamenco, downbeat, dirty south crunk and deep folk and early jazz? Same here. Music has saved my soul - more than all the crappy abstract paintings I have made from deep friend garbage. Literature? Why yes. Old things mostly - Kafka, Paine and Aristotle. Love surrealism and magical realism - well we woke up on a planet covered by sun and moonlight - of course.
By all accounts I am attracted to cold and unavailable women. Please don't be that as I am avoiding all pain-body driven experiences. What I am I listening to now - Adair - The Diamond Ring….time for a walk.
