JUST MOVED TO THIS TOWN LAST WEEK. SO FORGIVE MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.

Hello all. Ive never really done this before but hey lets try. I am 30 and I would love to find the one. Ive told friends before, when you hit late 20's-30's, where do you meet people? Work? That can be awkward. Bars? While I enjoy a good drink, it can be hard to meet people and not always the marrying kind. So I thought I would try here. You answer so many questions, I am sure to find a good match.

So I just moved a few days ago to Seattle. Big step but new opportunities. I would love to meet some new friends and women.

This is tough as I am generally not the most confident. I listen really well. Make people laugh. In the more literal sense, I like to cook, BBQ, brew homemade beer, golf, read.

hmm... on the road by kerouac is my all time fav book. i read the newspaper everyday, ny times and sf chron. been reading chuck klosterman's new book of late.
TV: community, the office and parks and rec, arrested development, mad men, breaking bad, west wing. anthony bourdain, top gear, giants baseball.
music: alt and punk rock...social distortion, johnny cash, decemberists, the national, nirvana, bluegrass, rancid. avett brothers, blink 182, foo fighters. jazz blues, I can go on and on on this topic.

books, good beer, good bourbon, newspaper, conversation, and baseball.

What is my life about. Where am I going. I often find myself seeing something in a book or tv and I think ehh whatever that person is 35-40. Oh wait! I am 30! Whoa. I have a good life. I do. But I would like a relationship. Marriage. Children someday.

usually 1 of 2 things. 1. out with a couple best friends at a restaurant or bar just talking over drinks and food. 2. at home bbq'n or cooking and relaxing with a movie, game, or book.

You would like to make a new friend. Maybe a date. grab a beer. Show a guy who is brand new to the area around a bit.
