I am Mirthy, Playful, and Sapient :).
My Self-Summary
I am new to Philly, and I'm looking to meet people. I love good
food, good friends, and good wine/vodka/whiskey/rum... you get the
idea. I love to read and tend toward philosophy, good science
fiction, and silly fantasy novels on occasion. Also discussing the
events or news of the day with someone, I love bouncing ideas back
and forth, sometimes late into the night, until a new freshly
hashed idea is born, even if it only makes sense to us. lol. I love
discussing advances in technology and imagining what they will mean
to our future. It helps that I'm an optimist lol.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm at the point in my life where I can finally do a little
exploring, stable enough to pretty much do what i want...within
reason. I moved up here to Philly just for a change of scenery,
almost a whim really :). I joined the PGMC about a month ago, also
kinda spur of the moment, just because I have never sang in public
before. That's where my life is at right now, not a bad place to be
:).
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know..my blue eyes, my oh so charming personality, and the
beam of radiant light beaming down on me from Heaven
above.....maybe, possibly. lol. Oh I know, my humble demeanor.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books, well there are alot, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, Terry
Pratchet's Discworld series, Harry Turtledove, Piers Anthony, Terry
Brooks, Alan Dean Foster's the Damned series, Brian Lumley, Bentley
Little, Greg Bear's Darwin's Radio series, Maria Doria Russell's
the Sparrow, Dean Koontz, Neil Gaiman, lol don't you love when
people list authors like your supposed to know who they are?
Movies, Pleasantville, 5th Element, Sordid Lives (both the series
and the movie ....it's all true, people lol), Southland Tales,
Donnie Darko, Empire Records, My Life as a House, Latter Days,
Where the World Mine, and on and on.
Music, I love music, but I have little to no idea who is singing
it...other than me singing along, I mean.
Food, :) yes.
The six things I could never do without
A plan or at least an outline to be filled in, about my life.
A Heater for the Winter, and Air Conditioning for the Summer.
My friends, as far away as they may be.
My phone, it has all my friends numbers held hostage after
all.
Internet access
and all the small comforts that make life livable. :)
