I am Intelligent, Charming, and Talented.
My Self-Summary
I'm not a natural extrovert, but I enjoy meeting new people and I
can handle a room full of people if I'm in the right mood.
I'm not normally a talker - but if you get me on one of my hot
topics then be prepared for a lecture.
I have some strong opinions, but I'm always open minded and
prepared to be convinced. I really love a good debate, but you'd
better have some good evidence and logical arguments. :-D
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a library - I teach people (beginners) how to use
computers and help the patrons with things like CVs, job search,
homework, email etc.
I have a few hobbies:
Lighting and
backstage (in
amateur
theatre)
Magic (Shore City
Magicians Club - check us out, we're on wikipedia)
Radio Club - Volunteering for various events, usually carparking or
security...
I'm a
skeptic (in
a good way - check out skeptics.org.uk: "What is skepticism"). I'm
a member of the NZ Skeptics, which basically means going to a
conference once a year... See my links for some newspaper articles
and tv shows I've been on and in.
I really love
reading. I seem to watch a lot of
TV, but I try to record
everything and watch it in batches.
I also play
World of Warcraft (sorry), but
I haven't had a chance to get addicted because I'm too busy with
everything else. :-)
I’m really good at
Magic
Lighting
Computers
You probably won't believe me (and I'm sure everyone puts this),
but I've been told that I'm quite good at making love. (You can ask
my ex-girlfriends if you like... :-D)
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess I look a bit like a geek - which is fair enough because I
am a bit of a geek.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Richard Dawkins
Carl Sagan
Terry Practchett
Douglas Adams
SciFi / Fantasy - books movies tv. Just about anything and
everything.
Recently I've tended to read a lot of non-fiction - science and
skepticism especially. Also technical books - "... for dummies" and
that sort of thing...
Music - mostly rock, but a bit of popular (i.e. mainstream), 80's,
musicals. Not rap or hiphop. (Don't worry - I'm very much 'hate the
music, not the listener')
The six things I could never do without
My PDA
I guess my computer (is that sad?). I'd willing put it aside though
- for some good conversation, or intimate time with someone
special
I've been doing without a girlfriend for a while, but if I had
someone I'd definitly put her here...
My car - I really hate public transport (especially in AK) and I do
a lot of stuff at odd places at odd hours. I also tend to carry a
lot of stuff with me (magic tricks and so forth)
Something to read. I always have a book.
Umm - food, water, shelter... If I think of anything else I'll let
you know. :-D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Pseudoscience, religion and quackery.
Science.
Me (lets be really honest - who doesn't?) :-D
Sex. I like it and I don't get enough.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't do typical - either relaxing watching TV / playing computer
games, or out at a show or an event working myself to the bone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

incredibly attractive.
