My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Shall I begin as David Copperfield began?

"Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born..."

One of my favorite things to do is read. I could literally spend a whole day curled up with a good book (and have on more than one occasion).

I'm quirky and an arguer (discussionist?). Obviously, I want to interact with people I like but a lively debate is fun on the occasion. Though definitely a home body, I do like to socialize with my friends and go out (but, I'm not always comfortable in overly crowded situations). I like the theatre, museums, watching movies, and other fun randomness.

I work in food service... complacently streaming through life at this point. I'm also not a morning person in the slightest-- which is unfortunate because of said work.

I have a few tattoos and my lip pierced.

I like people who are funny, sarcastic, intelligent, and a little unconventional.

I thoroughly enjoy amusing and witty conversation. Whether in person or by email, consistent amusing conversation is something truly sought after.

I am biting, facetious, and reticently verbose
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working. Paying bills. Watching Cardinals baseball.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I used to be really good at thrift-storing... I'm a bit out of practice. Cooking, organizing, cleaning, and saying my alphabet backwards are all things that I am "really good at".

My coworking friends tell me that I'm really good at giving the "death stare"... so much so, that I don't always realize I'm doing it (or intending). Apparently, it can be intimidating sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm sarcastic. I'm observant. I have dry humor that almost cannot be called such. They also may notice my intelligence, or possibly, some physical attribute. Actually, what most people first notice is the black eyeliner... and every now and then, I get asked if it's tattooed on.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I could list books all day long! Some of my favorite authors include: W. Somerset Maugham (I'm trying to find someone who loves his work as much as I do), Jane Austen, Dan Savage, and Giacomo Casanova.
I have a vast movie collection with a little bit of every genre mixed in. Though since it's always a question, my favorite movie of all time is Heathers.
I like many different kinds of music, it really depends on my mood (and sometimes, my state of sobriety). My favorite band would have to be the Toadies. But that band in no way represents my complete musical tastes. I do, however, loathe Christmas music. I can stand it for about an hour, one day a year. Yes, I am a grinch.
I love spicy food! The spicier, the better (of course, though, there is a limit to that statement). And chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Basic necessities aside? Books, a pen, a watch, soap, eyeliner, and sunscreen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The book I'm reading, or what I will read next.

Why I seem to attract smokers. Any ideas?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing laundry. And hanging out with friends. Possibly going to a bar, or the like.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a bug phobia.

I'm left-handed and think lefties are superior to "righties".

I overuse the ellipses (...)

I correct typos when I find them in a publication... with a red pen.

I had my head shaved for many years and got a tattoo on my scalp before regrowing my hair.

I LOVE Legos.

I may or may not be a crazy cat lady. (And apparently this fact deters no one.)
