I've been on a Hemingway kick as of late. I read a lot of fiction,
some of it classic and some contemporary. There are two Ikea
bookcases crammed with books in my apartment and conservatively I'd
say I've read 90% of them. Some names of authors I really enjoy:
Kundera, Jeffrey Eugenides, Garcia Marquez, Doris Lessing, Michael
Chabon, Jane Austen, the Brontes, Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro,
Salman Rushdie, David Sedaris,
I love eating and do it pretty constantly. Snacks are what keep me
sane. I try and cook when I can, which ends up being pretty
vegetable-heavy and sort of Mediterranean-inspired? I'll try
anything once and probably like it. I DO NOT like cilantro.
I'm getting into old country ladies like Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton
and Patsy Cline. Also, 60s French music? I don't know, I like
everything. Give me Bob Dylan any day and I'll be happy.
Movies. I like them. I get bored easily, though. There's a whole
bunch of "classic" movies I haven't seen, and which I'd like to
see. I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to movies.
Downton Abbey, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development,
New Girl, No Reservations...and there are so many more TV shows I'd
watch if I had cable and could just scroll through the channels.
