I'm a graduate student working on a PhD looking for a guy who can hold his own in a conversation with me. I enjoy teaching, travel, cooking, baking, gardening, singing, and volunteering.

I just got out of a long term relationship so I am just looking to date casually right now.

Right now I'm finished with the first part of my PhD (the classes and Comprehensive exam) and I am settling into a routine of research and teaching.

I really enjoy teaching and I am looking forward to working as a professor once I finish my PhD.

One of the things that I am best at is problem solving. That skill is coupled with a good amount of initiative, so I tend to be proactive about issues--whether they are a wobbly table or a relationship difficulty.

I had to think for a while about this one, because it's not like people tell you! I think that the first thing that people notice about me is that they can't place my race. Usually around here people figure that I am Hispanic, but I have had multiple people come to me and say "Can I just ask--what are you?" like I am an alien from another planet...

You are interested in conversing or going out for coffee. One warning--to get the best chance with me please watch your spelling and grammar and don't use texting abbreviations. It's just that when I read messages from people my mind makes up a stereotypical voice to go along with them so when it is misspelled/has horrible grammar it tends to be the voice of a little kid and if it is full of texting abbreviations then it is the voice of a tween--and those are not sexy...
