I made a few attempts at writing this but it is really difficult. How do you summarize yourself in a few paragraphs?

Well, anyway, I live in St. Louis and work as a software engineer. I am a big tech nerd and I love what I do. Someday, I'd like to go to work for myself but not necessarily in the same industry. Besides, doesn't every guy have dreams of opening a bar with his friends?

Music and movies are 2 of my biggest passions in life. The movie and band posters that cover my walls are testament to this. There's nothing better than checking out a new album or film and discussing it with friends over a beer.

My friends call me a hipster.

I would say I'm fairly earnest with my convictions but not preachy.

I work full time as a software engineer about 30 miles outside of the city. I live in St. Louis and the commute can be rough sometimes, but I love living in the city too much to move.

I do eventually want to move somewhere, I'm just not sure where yet. I want to get out there and experience living in other areas before it is too late.

Probably my beard. It's not the best beard ever, but I enjoy it. Plus, if you look really close, you can see it's got some red hair in it.

Music:
Music is one of my biggest passions and I have fairly eclectic tastes. I tend to gravitate towards genres on the heavier and more experimental side of the spectrum but that doesn't mean that is all I enjoy. I love checking out new stuff and talking to people about music. I'm not even going to attempt to list bands here.

Movies:
I like horror films a lot. They are my guilty pleasure. Beyond that, some of my favorite movies off the top of my head are Lord of the Rings, Zodiac, Rosemary's Baby, Back to the Future, Dazed and Confused, Pulp Fiction, and Taxi Driver.

Shows:
Mad Men and Cardinal baseball

Books:
My reading material tends to be fairly nerdy. Song of Ice and Fire is my favorite series. I'm into fantasy and Sci Fi in general when it comes to books. Oh, I read comic books occasionally too so I hope nerdy hobbies don't bother you too much.
