My Self-Summary
Perhaps this isn't the best place for me to be posting a profile
but what the heck...I did my undergrad in Seattle then moved to
Boston in 2004 for graduate school. I just finished this spring and
am back in the Emerald City for the summer until I move to Michigan
in the fall.
So why am I on this site?? When I'm not busy writing grants this summer I'll be on the lookout for other people who enjoy grabbing coffee, hiking mountain trails, and cooking good food. So if you have a bit of wit, a modicum of class, and think we could have a good time, be sure to drop me a line.

What I’m doing with my life
I just finished grad school and in the fall will be working at the
University of Michigan. After that, I'd love to end up back in the
Pacific Northwest, teaching at a small liberal arts university.
I’m really good at
Cooking, camping, cooking while camping, making quips during
conversation, cooking while conversing, photography, photographing
things I cook, and performing chemistry experiments (not while
cooking).
The first things people usually notice about me
You'll probably notice that I'm shy around people I don't know.
You'll probably catch a quiet remark or comment that I make in a
crowd of people which eventually leads to a joke and then 1 on 1
conversation. I don't like making small talk so I'll often just
listen to people until I feel like I can contribute. Oh and did I
mention my eyes?
