My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to LA and am looking for new friends! Preferably someone to show me around :)

I'm very creative and passionate. I love to draw, it's probably my favorite thing in the world.

Other hobbies include: playing guitar, reading, playing video games for work and for fun (though usually one and the same)

Boy, was that ever a boring description. Let's see if we can spice it up: I've lived in four countries in my life, the US being the lengthiest and most recent, I speak two languages (one kinda okay and one very well), I love to debate, I spend too much time thinking of puns, and I love stormy weather.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an Illustrator for a software development company in Santa Monica, and I do game design and art on the side.

Trying to hone my craft, learning to paint, draw faces, draw noses, draw trees, draw feet, draw hands, draw hydrants (I wish this site had that thing from comics where text gets really, really small when it's boring)

You can check out some of my art here! (haven't updated in a bit, though)

and here!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing! Specifically character design and concept art! Also dwarves! The Lord of the Rings kind, not the Game of Thrones kind.

And video games. I play anything I can get my hands on. And puns (two cars are driving like jerks, would be good KARma if they mildly crashed into each other)

Playing guitar? I'm alright at it. YOU BE THE JUDGE.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure how to answer this, I'll have to ask the next person that meets me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm going to put a lot here because WHY NOT, you may be interested in one, or perhaps MULTIPLE things that I'm interested in!

Games: Grim Fandango is my favorite game of all time. Tim Schafer is a god.

And now in no particular order (there's a lot of these): Red Dead Redemption, Bastion, all the Assassin's Creed games, Prince of Persia (cel shaded one is my favorite GASP), Wind Waker, Borderlands, Portal 1 and 2, Stacking, VVVVVV, Team Fortress 2, Thief, Splinter Cell, Hitman (I love stealth games), Quake, I still enjoy CoD multiplayer though I will agree the games themselves are getting stale, Dark Souls, Limbo and a lot more I'm forgetting.

Books: Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, the occasional Warhammer book, The Mysterious Stranger, Homicide, Sherlock Holmes, Conan (the original Howard books), game design books, and tons of art books (mostly concept art from movies and games, but also educational ones)

Movies: The Big Lewboski, Pulp Fiction, Jeremiah Johnson, There Will Be Blood, Die Hard, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, And Justice For All, Indiana Jones, True Grit, a bunch of westerns, School of Rock, How to Train Your Dragon, Wall-E, and a ton more.

Shows: Firefly, Hell on Wheels, Justified, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Monk, Parks & Rec, The Wire, Louie, It's Always Sunny, Luther, Battlestar Galactica, and again, a bunch more.

Music (bear with me, a lot of it is obscure blues stuff) : Seasick Steve, Scott Biram, Reverend Peyton, John Lee Hooker, Otis Taylor, Lightning Hopkins, CCR, The Black Keys, White Stripes, Beck, Mumford & Sons, Tony Furtado, and a bunch I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Food: Sushi is my favorite food ever! Though I will literally eat almost anything.

Except brussels sprouts. And raisins.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My right hand, if I lost it in some tragic fishing accident I'd have to pick a new career. Maybe a hard-boiled detective or something.

My brain, I need it to think! I need it to think of fascinating answers like that one!

After that: my glasses, my computer, my guitar, video games, and my phone.

Crap, that's seven. Oh well, I'm a loose cannon who doesn't play by the rules.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things are designed, random words, how an author would describe me in a book.

But more mundanely: game design, design in general, what I should be doing but I'm procrastinating.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drawing, reading, watching silly videos on YouTube, playing video games, chatting with friends, listening to music, deciding if I should go out or not.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmm, let's see. Something interesting:

When I was around 8, I was smuggled across the German border. INTRIGUE!

If you want to talk about how awesome Teddy Roosevelt is. Or throw around cheesy puns. Or you like any of the things I've included in my favorites section.

Or you want to talk about how amazing Nic Cage is (in a purely ironic, but kinda not, way)

(Nic Cage is totally great)

Or if you think this is the most amazing image ever:

Seriously though, if you just want to chat or nerd out :)
