My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I fancy myself a modern gentleman, and like to enjoy what the world has to offer. Life for me is about the positive people and experiences in it, and am looking for someone likeminded to share it with!

Not really one for small talk, I like getting right into the heart of the matter. Let's get deep, talk about it, explore ideas and concepts. No subject is off topic or uninteresting.

I am a bit of a 'maker', to use current pop culture language. With that comes a passion for understanding how the world works, imagining how it could be better and sometimes making those visions reality.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Building and creating software to help people connect with art.

Raising a wonderful boy of school age. Preparing him for the world.

Enjoying or making the best of whatever comes my way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding elegant solutions to problems.

Listening and understanding.. And (hopefully maybe!) sometimes, giving some good advice.

Enjoying the company of my friends and current moment.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall and generally in a jovial mood. (Despite my serious photos)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
When I was younger I read a lot of fiction: Heinlein, Card, Polk, Brinn. I did enjoy the George R.R. Martin books that the Game of Thrones TV series is based on.

In the last 5 years or so, I've mostly been reading books on psychology, philosophy, mathematics, economics, history and a variety of more text-book subjects. More specifically Existentialism, Positive Psychology, Buddhism, Chaos Theory, History of Comedy, Argumentation. Books such as: Freakonomics, History of Nearly Everything.

As for music I tend to like feel good, make laugh or smile type songs. Upbeat electronica, jazz, funk, hiphop.

I love food! I'm actually a pretty decent cook even. ;)

I totally geek on coffee. I have a full espresso bar at home, can make an americano, espresso, latte, cappuccino, or whatever you prefer! ;)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
What I need most in life is a sense of purpose. A challenge, something to build, create, change about the world. The bigger the better.

The relationships in my life are important, be they family or friend.

(When writing this...) I had just had dinner last night with friends that I've worked with for 12 years now. Despite us all having moved between various continents and countries we all find a way to stick together.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why things are the way they are. How I can organize my life to get more out of it. New green sofa? Maybe!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Home building legos/drawing/playing games with my son, or having a conversation and drinks with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I invented the paperclip. (Seriously, I didn't, for those who've asked.. but, what if....)
