I am Witty, nice, and dorky.

My Self-Summary

My name is Michael. I’ve lived in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area most of my life.

I work for a company, where I do IT work for their new retail stores. It keeps me really busy, and I have to travel to each new location.

In my free time I like hanging out with friends, going to movies, taking a random trip to the coast, or just reading a good sci-fi or fantasy book.

What I’m doing with my life

I’m currently living with a roommate, I swore I wouldn’t get one again, but he really needed a place to stay. So far it’s been okay. Either I'm gone, or he's gone, so it's like a time-share.

I'm also working more hours than I would like, and I'm trying to find a way to relax when I get home. After spending 4-5 days in a new place, without much social interaction, I just want to spend the time I have when I get home with friends and family.

I’m really good at

Friends and family both say I’m a pretty good cook. I almost went to the Culinary Institute a few years back, but whenever I’ve taken a job doing something I like, I inevitably no longer like doing it outside of work.

Movie trivia. I own a plethora of movies. I usually forget which ones I own, which forced me to make a list of them. I’m still not sure if they are all on the list.

I'm also really good at keeping my word. If I say I'm going to do something or that I will be somewhere... you can be sure that I will follow through.

I'm also able to do just about anything around the house, thanks to a very ambitious mother who loved to remodel homes, and had me do most of the work.

The first things people usually notice about me

My imposing figure. I'm a tall guy, and many people mistake me for someone who plays football. I played for 6 months, my sophomore year in High School. Why does this still haunt me?

I’m also pretty shy when I first meet people. It’s something I’ve been working on for a while now, but it’s just who I am.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Big fan of anything by Jim Butcher.

Movies: Too many to list. Short list of those I can put in and watch at any time: Bourne movies, The Italian Job, Mall Rats, The Three Musketeers.

Music: I can listen to anything.

Food: I love PF Changs. I like it so much, I've figured out a couple recipies.

TV: Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, Burn Notice, Dexter, Big Bang Theory.

The six things I could never do without

1. A place I can go to relax (a sauna)

2. Family/friends. I count this as one, because my friends are like family to me

3. My computer (it functions as my DVR)

4. Money

5. My car or motorcycle

6. Freedom

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I have to get done for work, and where to go for my vaction.

On a typical Friday night I am

I hope I’m out with friends doing something. Like: going to a movie, playing board games, or just hanging out somewhere. Usually something laid bakc and casual.

The first Friday of every month is Cort and Fatboy's midnight movie at the Bagdad Theater. A buddy of mine and I go almost every month. It really depends on the movie.

You should message me if

1. You feel like it

2. You want, or have, an oppinion on a movie

3. You know of places that I "can't miss" when I'm traveling for work
