My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I should lighten up a little. There are worse things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a reporter and news anchor for public radio. Sometimes I talk about it too much. By sometimes I mean always. I used to cover the state legislature, but now I do more community reporting. It involves things like loitering at the plaid pantry and getting chased out of apartment complexes, both of which happened this week.

I also do data analysis and make graphs for the web. They're only ok.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
*drinkin all yer whiskey
*giving great advice that I don't take myself
*making ugly omelets that taste wonderful
*firm handshakes [to which I attribute most success in life]
*covering gangster rap songs on my ukulele

I love memoirs written by nobodies, and Camus. Also Alain de Botton, Turgenev, Kundera, and Auster.

Also newspapers [made out of paper], and Nietzsche [I'm pretty sure you want to hear all about my thesis].

I watch Woody Allen movies over and over [yeah even the serious ones], documentaries about writers and words and incredible human feats and water supplies, The West Wing, IT Crowd, Breaking Bad, and Project Runway because I'm not too good for reality t.v.

I dance to Northern Soul and Rocksteady music.
Nina Simone, Against Me!, Ray Charles, The Supremes.

My favorite voices on NPR are Kelly McEvers and Chana Joffe-Walt.

Cilantro. All things ginger-flavored. Also breakfast. And I can cook anything in a crock-pot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bad puns
Little notebooks
Cruise control
Those green tea mints from Trader Joe's
My complete series of 'I Love Lucy' on DVD

Schemin, probly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

The two are probably related.

If you have a handsome beard and a give-a-shit attitude, care about punctuality but not as neurotically as I do, enjoy drunk cooking, prefer patio seating, can help me with my crossword, or wanna get out of town.

Or if you won't make fun of me for driving the speed limit or for owning too much Tupperware or for sleeping in curlers or for just being an 80-year-old woman in general.

Or none of those things and you just want to play ping-pong, whatever man.
