* * *
I'm one of those weird east-coast-west-coast hybrids. Uniquely at home in San Francisco, yet so clearly a child of New York. I've spent plenty of intervening years elsewhere, though, and there's plenty I've picked up along the way.
I choose my words carefully.
I'm a radical empiricist, an idealist, and an evergreen companion. I'm in it for the adventure, for laughter, and for all of life's myriad delights.
I consume information constantly. I do my best to aware of my blind spots and work hard to patch them by reading or otherwise trying to improve myself. For me, self-actualization is a primary focus of life, though its ultimate result (enlightenment? happiness? peace?) remains unclear.
I spend a lot of time both thinking about what constitutes the good life and pursuing it.
I'm happy, both with my life and in general. Not a lot gets me down, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for here. Someone self-aware and comfortable with themselves. Someone who likes to learn, and isn't afraid of trying something new (or of showing that they're new to something). Someone ambitious, which is not to say that said ambition has to be purely professional. Someone who believes that the self is mutable (and that that's a good thing!). And, for all that is good in the world, someone kind. Kindness is underrated.
I have a soft spot for techies and artists, but if something about my profile speaks to you then you should say hello anyways. Life's short enough as it is.
