I am quirky, smart, and fun to be with.
My Self-Summary
You can't always sit in your corner of the forest and wait for
people to come to you...you have to go to them sometimes."
-Winnie the Pooh
Ah, such wisdom from a silly old bear! I've been up and down this
road of love for a long time now, and with it, I have learned a
thing or two about myself and how to make it all work. First and
most importantly; We can't take ourselves too seriously. We need to
cut loose, lighten up and smell the proverbial roses every chance
we get.
To me, what makes a relationsip work: Honesty (I mean real, true,
soul-baring honesty), patience, (not everyone thinks and feels the
way I do) compassion, and most of all love. Yeah, you know, love.
That intangible thing that we all know we want, but just don't seem
to be able to grasp. "When you are in love you can't fall asleep
because reality is better than your dreams."
What I’m doing with my life
I love my job teaching sixth grade. My students' constant energy
keeps me wired and on my toes. Someday though, I would love to go
to culinary school. I LOVE to cook!!
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, understanding other's problems. Seeing the
bright side of a difficult situation. Running, singing (in my car
only), keeping the peace, multi-tasking, being a great friend.
The first things people usually notice about me
My cheerful nature, and my smile.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love Movies and books that move me, make me think, laugh or cry.
Anne Tyler, Wally Lamb, Anne Lamott. I'll watch the same movie over
and over if it resonates with me
One of my favorite books is Max Tivoli, a story of a man who was
born with the appearance of an old man, and grows younger as he
gets older. Another favorite is Tale of Desperaux. Written for
young people but it truly touches my soul.
Food: Everything!! Sushi, steak, Italian, Thai. (This is why I run)
The six things I could never do without
1. My daughters
2. Red wine
3. Coffee
4. A hot shower
5. A good book
6. My ipod
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My daughters, my job, the future, what I'm going to make for
dinner, the rest is personal.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either with my girls and their friends or out with my sister, or
hanging with some friends listening to live music. Oh gosh, I could
be doing just about anything.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I pride my self on being really independent, but I am really a big
softie.
You should message me if
You have something interesting to say.
