I am a hippie geek with a sense of adventure and curiosity. I enjoy the outdoors, yoga, biking, volleyball and robots. I enjoy travel and meeting people from all over.

What I’m doing with my life

Working on the next chapter of my life. That's the vague and mysterious answer. Beside for the usual every day life of waking up, going to work and battling ninjas I am usually occupied with various house projects or hobbies.

I am interested in alternative energy and conservation and lately have been working on two different electric motorcycles. I would like an truly electric car one day but until I can afford something actually usable and not a pimped out golf cart I will tinker with the bikes.

Learning to play piano and still pretending to learn guitar.

I rarely liked to go to bars or even drink that much but I took a bartender class earlier this year and now I am enjoying trying new drinks in bars all over the world. Do you have a favorite?

I’m really good at

Figuring things out or learning something new. I like being the expert sent into some situation to solve a problem. I think I would make a good Michael Crichton protagonist.

A calm demeanor with glimpses of sarcasm and long hair.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Pynchon, Dumas, Vonnegut, Voltaire, David Foster Wallace and lately historical novels of 18th century and Napoleonic sailing. Even more recently I have started reading the Flashman series(B) Yellowbeard, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Being There, The Life Aquatic. Probably more I can't think of. I also like really bad comedies like Meet the Spartans and Balls of Fury as well as most sci fi, even the bad ones. (C) Indie, Psychedelic most any kind of live music. Again this is intentionally vague because my favorites can change but recently I have into the Decemberists, Belle and Sebastian, Eels and Shins.(D) Pizza, burgers, organics, sushi and sashimi. Again, it runs the gamut. I do enjoy fancy-pants restaurants as well as a good backyard burger. I would never claim the Olive Garden is a great Italian restaurant but I don't mind admitting to having been there a couple times and enjoyed the food.
