My self-summary
I tend to change this every few months because I never really like what's put here. I don't want to be a faux-mysterious asshole and tell you to "message me and find out," but it's honestly hard to summarize myself. I'm into a lot of things, geek out over a lot less things, and truly love and appreciate just a slight couple of things. Honestly, my "favorite stuff" section says more about me than this ever will.

I will say this about myself: I'm absolutely terrible at sending first messages on here. I hate doing it, don't feel witty or creative enough when I do do it, and really, really, really hope a response back would give me enough to say something that would actually express the kind of person I am.

I don't know. Can't I just say I have awesome hair, glasses, and tattoos, and let that summarize what I'm about?

(Sidenote: All of the pictures on here are ridiculously old. I absolutely hate being in pictures and don't really have any recent ones, and I'm not into taking selfies. Hopefully, you'll think two years ago me is cute enough.)
What I’m doing with my life
Tweeting about EVERYTHING.
I’m really good at
...bullshitting. I have an extremely moral conscience, though, and I'm more than willing to admit when I've fucked up (which doesn't happen as much as it used to).

Unless, of course, that entire last statement was just me bullshitting you.
The first things people usually notice about me
95% of the time, I have a >:| face on the exterior when I'm usually feeling very :| on the interior. I have headphones on everywhere I go, so I'm almost always singing along to whatever I'm listening to. I'm sure the mix of my >:| face and very expressive lip syncing can be very off-putting to others.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Two of my favorite authors are Jack Kerouac and Neil Gaiman. However, the majority of the reading I do these days come in comic book and graphic novel form. My concentration as an undergrad was Cultural, Rhetoric, and Media Studies, so I like to analyze and critique everything I read. I love breaking comic books down into a more literary form while still incorporating the importance of the illustrations and how said illustrations help/hurt the conveyance of the written story.

I've been a film critic/journalist of sorts for almost four years now. Films have played a huge role in my life, both personally and professionally, so it's hard to name some of my favorites (simply because I don't have any). If I had to make a Netflix recommendation, it would be Upstream Color by Shane Carruth.

I don't really care for TV as much as I do film, but some of my favorite shows are South Park, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Breaking Bad (RIP), How I Met Your Mother (RIP), Freaks and Geeks (RIP), and Arrested Development (RIP).

I've been on the outer realm of the local hip hop scene for the better part of two years now. Some of my best friends are rappers and producers gaining some heavy national momentum. However, I'm not really into hip hop the way I've always been into punk rock/post-hardcore. Some of my favorite bands are Fugazi, Jawbreaker, Cap'n Jazz, Melt-Banana, The Impossibles, and Fucked Up.

I'm basically paleo, save for the occasional pizza and taco. I've been at it since Super Bowl Sunday, and it's not as hard as I thought it would be. Still, I really fucking miss horchata.
The six things I could never do without
Chicago Bulls, Video Games, Graphic Novels, Sleep, Music, and Film.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- whether or not I have precognition.
- if I could pull off a nose ring.
- non-sequiturs to tweet.
- Olivia Thirlby.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This isn't really private, but I don't know how to ride a bike. It kinda sucks that everybody rides a bike now.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–29
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're into the things I'm into, or you think I'd be into the things you're into, or you want to geek out over geeky things that you wouldn't otherwise normally geek out over.

Really, I'm just trying to make some cool new friends. If things progress past that, cool.
