My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
It's hard not to sound like a narcissist when writing a section called "self-summary" but given the context it seems like a necessity, so here goes...At 40, the collective experience has created a school of thought where my life's edifice needed some re-construction coupled with the quintessential trait of the land, you could say I'm in touch with my "inner Gatsby". So here I'm, having tread the beaten path with all it's flaws, it's time to trace and then follow the drivers of my excitement. Of course, credit will always be due to the "beaten-path" for the material securities and for the (thankful) retirement of the juvenile mind. But this more authentic exploration can make use of catalyst, a partner with a similar mindset. Someone also open to an offspring, who, among many sources of joy, can be a very receptive audience for our collective insights.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well, there is the hum-drum of the "9 to 5", although it does give me an outlet for imagination and a channel to indulge in a passion. Then there is running: a sanctuary to center and introspect...the source of the constant refining that life needs. I can't help but share about the potential with possessing a US passport. The remarkable "visa door opening" capabilities of that magic wand of a document, is often the only grounding I need to see how much more humanity has to go to erase the boundaries.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
This is the section where I finally point out the total lack objectivity that comes with "judging oneself". Clearly, I'm good at a few things (according to me!!) but I'll hold off in spelling them out here. I'm sure when we go through our rational discourse, you'll find out more.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The science of Myers-Briggs was spot on, it's hard to miss that I'm a "card carrying" member of the ESTJ tribe (with a quirky sense of humor to boot) but then, I feel, they is so much else about me waiting to be "noticed" and an adventure well worth the effort.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The minimalist in me would say "not much"
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
There is so much of the world to find out and I'm only now getting started.
