My self-summary
I grew up in TX, but I haven't lived here since I went off to college. I just moved back to Houston from Boston and Philly. Great to be back near my wonderful family and looking forward to making friends.

I'm adventurous and love discovering new things. I have a liberal education and have traveled and lived many places. I love art, music, good food and wine and sharing them with friends. I'm easy to talk to and have very progressive opinions I'm glad to share. I'm looking for a smart, adventurous woman to make a connection with. I'm ambitious in my career, but try to keep it in balance. I love to travel, or go see a local concert. I'd like to find someone who wants to go biking, see an exhibit, or go white water rafting, or chat around a fire. You don't have to like to do all of them, and I'm open to lot's of other little adventures. A drink and a bite to eat is a great place to start.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to balance career with friends and family. I work for an international wine brand. Before that I taught Philosophy. My dissertation was on Aesthetics and Tragedy in German Romanticism. And the ideas involved in it are still relevant to my life, but like many others I'm ABD.
I’m really good at
Team building, abstract thought, travel, learning new things. Cooking. Choosing the right wine. Throwing a fun get together.
The first things people usually notice about me
My strong presence. Can be serious and silly at the same time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I finally have some time to explore Boston. I'd love to check out the local music scene or visit some museums.

Recently: Gotye and Foster the People were awesome live. I finally watched Midnight in Paris after many recommendations and did love it. Going to a little crab shack and cracking crab while having plenty of cold beer was a blast. I've made it to a few local pubs for some great live music. I don't watch much current tv but watch some on net flicks.
The six things I could never do without
Good wine. Good food. Great art. Good books. Travel. Friends. And great kissing! And Music! I know, seven.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On here, how different what people say they want is from what they really want.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having dinner with a friend, or drinks with co-workers, seeing a movie, or chilling at home with my cats--yes Cassie and Lexie are my babies. Love me, love my cats. I'm the crazy cat guy. 😀Or listening to tunes on the "stereo."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
On here, that I grew up in Texas. And that I bought Shades of Grey. Once we get to know each other there's so much more to share and the fun begins. Age is not a big factor in who I date, but rather where we are in our lives--I've dated younger and older women. And friendship knows no age
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–99
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you want to go out on a date! If you want an intersting friend. You want to share ideas, stories, and explore Boston or beyond. If you enjoy preparing a meal together, seeing an exhibit, play, concert, or movie. Or if you want to be outdoors and go hiking, rafting, to the beach, or other activities.
