My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How's it going, stranger?

I’m from Philadelphia, born and raised (Not really, I was born in China but immigrated when I was a baby – close enough).
I studied Neuroscience in Pittsburgh, and minored in music, and I'm currently living in Philadelphia.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently volunteering at a small family clinic, where I get to practice my Chinese, and at the Philly VA Medical Center, where the staff are abnormally friendly. If you ever go to war, these guys are something to look forward to.

But most of all, what is currently taking up my time is filling out applications for medical school while harassing my friends to go watch movies or eat. Or sleeping. Naps are the best.

I'm basically trying to be this guy
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...solving puzzles and figuring things out. I’m also pretty good at playing the viola, hitting a mid-range jump shot, staying awake long into the night for gaming / Netflix / anime marathons, and eating large quantities of food in one sitting.

I've also been told that I'm a very good listener. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out! how tall I am for an Asian. And then they ask if I play basketball. To which I of course respond yes. Then they make some sort of comment about Yao Ming, to which I smile or laugh. Guys that watch the NBA sometimes mention other asian basketball players, which actually impresses me. I suppose we could skip that during our first conversation :). Or not, if you prefer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books – Ender’s Game, Jurassic Park (way better than the movie), A Thousand Splendid Suns, Don Quixote

Movies – Inglourious Basterds, Toy Story 3, Good Will Hunting. I'm pretty into animated movies, so anything Disney, Pixar, or Miyazaki is a win in my book.

Shows – Breaking bad, The Wire, Attack on Titan

Music – Dubstep, Pop, Classical. *I like a wide variety of music – though usually only 1 or 2 songs from any particular artist
(ipod teaser)

Food – I eat anything that tastes good lol. I dream of being a food critic some day. Not a very picky eater. Though I do love a good cheesesteak. And gotta love Chinese food. And indian food. I could go on but you get the idea haha.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Alarm Clocks, since I would never be able to wake up before noon without them
-That black cat that’s always wandering around my house making me wonder whether black cats are really unlucky or not. He/she’s kinda cute too.
-Google Navigation on my phone
-My 1 GB iPod shuffle, with each song personally selected
-The riddles of the universe (What happens to something that enters a black hole?!?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the brain – I studied it for 4 years and still don’t know how it works.
...NBA stats and player movement for fantasy basketball during the year. Go Sixers!
...thought provoking Reddit threads.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
… either hanging out with friends at a bar or someone’s place causing some sort of mischief, or playing video games overcompetitively. I could also possibly be watching a new show on Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
During a school trip in middle school, I lost a binder full of pokemon cards which I collected over at least 2 years. Probably the worst mistake of my adolescent life. I was a sad little boy for a while after that. Damn it all - it was probably worth one or two hundred dollars at least.
