I am laid back, wacky, and geeky.

My Self-Summary

Sometimes I worry that I am defined only by my interests, which largely consist of video games, movies, canceled television (where the quality lies), video & board games and the occasional comic. Or that I'm defined by how I like dudes and musicals and [insert another gay thing about me]. Or that I am a four-eyed perpetual learner who sometimes has problems speaking clearly. Or that I'm a cute lazy boy who loves to take naps. Or that I am a vegan with a BS from UCD who works at a non-profit in SF.

Who am I really? Dunno! Find out?

What I’m doing with my life

Mainly I'm trying to enjoy my youth and not stress too hard. It's working out pretty well. As long as my life is full of games and friends, I'm good.

I work at a non-profit downtown, it's pretty chill.

I’m really good at

Remembering things that aren't important, like video game quests from years ago.

I like baking, but I don't do it nearly often enough. I also experiment a lot when I'm doing it so sometimes it doesn't turn out right. (Lime Cake ftw!)

In my spare time, I'm designing a strategy board game with a modular board, variable powers and a magical theme, I don't know how original it is but it makes me happy. I need volunteer play testers if you're interested. I also enjoy dreaming up new worlds.

The first things people usually notice about me

Let me know what you notice and maybe I'll add it here.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music The Cranberries (specifically Dolores O'Riordan), Nellie McKay, Jason Mraz, musicals...

Movies Hairspray (both versions, but I prefer the musical), Serenity, Pleasantville, Sky High, Mamma Mia!, The Sweetest Thing, cheesy gay movies [Were the World Mine], Bring it On, more.

Television Futurama (Yay for new episodes next year!), Drop Dead Diva, Dollhouse, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who (those with David Tennant specifically), Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, all of the Star Trek spin-offs (Voyager being my favorite), Wonderfalls, Kyle XY, Glee, Castle, Eastwick, True Blood, The L Word, Arrested Development, Heroes, Veronica Mars, Angel, Xena: Warrior Princess, Lost, Alias, Dead Like Me, Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, Tru Calling, True Blood, Six Feet Under, South Park, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis - the jury is still out on Universe), Sanctuary, Farscape, Weeds, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Flight of the Conchords, Reaper, Supernatural, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, X-men (The Animated Series, Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men), Read or Die... what can I say, I love having my own little pirated tv marathons.

Online Media Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Guild.

Books Favorite authors: Mercedes Lackey, David Eddings, JK Rowling, Philip Pullman, Lemony Snicket, Robin Hobb, Eoin Colfer.

Food Well I am vegan, so that limits me a tiny bit. But other than that I am not picky at all and will eat pretty much anything. A few favorites: eggplant, mushrooms, black beans, bananas, brussel sprouts, tapatio, quinoa, bread. And if I had to choose a favorite taste, I would probably have to say mustard.

The six things I could never do without

Franchesca (my computer), games, hope for the future, imagination, free time, sorcery.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Whatever game / show / interest I am currently obsessing over.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out (at a show, dancing, or other engagement) or in (with board games, video games, a movie, a nap and/or whatever strikes my fancy), I'm happy either way.

I might have a slight bias towards staying in, but one must have balance in ones life [the talent tree?].

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I dunno, I'm pretty much an open book. It's easier for me if I don't have to hide anything. I'm just too lazy!

You should message me if

You need nerd points. I'm very good at helping people cultivate them. Just ask how!

Or, if you want to meet me. Which you probably should, 'cause I am awesome.

I'm ultimately looking for someone to share my life with, but I'm not willing to do that with just anyone. New friends are always welcome!
