I am a sensitive, loving and caring person with an open heart and a zest for living life. I have a well developed sense of humor that leans towards the sardonic but I have a generally positive outlook on life and avoid negative ways of thinking. I like to stay quite active and participate in various activities with friends. I'm neat, clean and organized, I practice good hygiene but I'm not uptight about it. I like my hair a little messy...my desk too. My interests include music, cooking/food, camping, photography and a new-found joy in my life is the blossoming sport of disc golf. I rarely watch much television but I do spend time on the computer. I don't watch a lot of movies as that has not been a big interest but I am trying to develop more of a love for the art form. I like to keep up with current events, I read news on the internet and I listen to NPR a lot in the car. I am a progressive liberal, I'm interested in politics and I vote. I like to go for it and really have fun, I can be lout at times and I've certainly been known to stay up all night but I'm the responsible trouble-making mis-behaved one at the party.

I work in the music industry as a live sound engineer, music has been a passion in my life since I was a teenager. My parents were part of the counterculture and introduced me to cosmic exploration. I like to listen to music, attend concerts and music festivals (or work at them) and I am an amateur musician as well although playing music has taken a backseat to other interests in the last year or so. I like all kinds of music, I grew up on Rock n' Roll so that is my core but I like some forms of electronic music too, not so much the hip-hop although I can appreciate some of it and I think Boots Riley from The Coup is a total genius. I am gainfully and comfortably self-employed and work at a number of local nightclubs and music venues as well as a live sound company that does major events including Outside Lands, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Treasure Island Music Festival etc.... I am also a live sound instructor at a digital arts/media college in the east bay.

Music: Radiohead, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Guitar Rock (Dire Straits, Chet Atkins, Jim Campilongo). Old school country music (Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings), Blues (B.B. King, Albert King, Muddy Waters), Electronic (Amon Tobin, minimal house/techno), Reggae (Peter Tosh, Linton Kwesi Johnson-props if you actually know who that is), Local (Sean Hayes, The Mermen). Neko Case, she might just have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard...I want to marry her.
Lots of stuff really, I'm pretty eclectic as I work in the music industry.

Food: Italian, Thai, Indian, Sushi, cheese... I love to cook and really enjoy high quality food.

Movies: Intelligent comedies (I wish there were more), Spinal Tap, Airplane, The Big Lebowski. Documentaries like Planet Earth... I need to expand my movie horizons.

Books: I don't read novels... mostly non-fiction or educational. Miles Davis autobiography was amazing.

I don't have a regular schedule, I might be working a crazy event or enjoying a quiet night not working... or if I'm lucky hanging with pals at an event or dinner party. Dancing all night if I REALLY like the music, it happens but not as much as I'd like.

My parents have been to burning man and so have I (but we didn't go together).
I've never owned a pet (ok we had a bird when I was a kid, does that count?) but I love cats and dogs and they love me too.
I'm learning how to cry.
