My self-summary
This picture makes me look way more serious than I actually am.
What I’m doing with my life
** This section is out of date. **

If all goes to plan, I should have two masters (math and teaching) by next fall. All I have to do now is carve out some economic niche so I can start paying back my student loans. Yay?

In the meantime, I'll focus balancing school with growth. Thanks to travel, academics, and activism, I have learned more in the past 3 months than I have at any other point in my life.
I’m really good at
Trying new things. It is satisfying to get out of your mind and into your body. Over the years I've gotten into tap, jazz, ballet, modern, swing, acting, singing, yoga, martial arts, swimming, sports acrobatics, and pokemon.

I would take up pokemon professionally, but I think it is important to love something that isn't your job. :-p
The first things people usually notice about me
My word choice and confidence.

I have a big goofy smile, but it isn't the sexiest thing so I didn't put it on here.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really enjoy Vonnegut and have always been a fan of Asimov. Currently reading through the Dark Tower series.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Primer, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, cat videos on Youtube.

Long story short - various hipster shit, but I don't discriminate.
I like - Gorrillaz, Imogen Heap, Yoshida Brothers, Jamiroquai, The Strokes, Phoenix, Daft Punk, Miike Snow, Boy Crisis, Beast Patrol, Arctic Monkeys, Asian Kung Fu Generation, and guilty pleasure pop music.

Food is yumtastic. I didn't really grow up around cooking, so I am easily excited. I'm trying to become a better cook. If you have a good foodular idea, I would be happy to steal it.

I don't really watch TV. Television, much like landline phones, is for old people.
The six things I could never do without
1. My friends and family
I think that goes for pretty much everyone.

2. My bike
I love riding my bike around town. A few years ago, I injured my knee injury in martial arts. It hasn't fully healed and it hurts to run, but on my bike I can fly.

3. The internet
I can always find something new and interesting on the internet. This may lead to a lot of wasted time.

4. The ability to think
If I didn't have that, what's the point?

5. A goal
I think we all need something to look forward to.

6. Oxygen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Saving the world, of course!
On a typical Friday night I am
Blowing off a week's worth of steam with good friends, food, and tasty tasty scotch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once did a photoshoot for a risque calendar (nothing nude). It was a lot of fun.

You are curious.
