My Self-Summary
I'm a pretty easy going person and just like to have fun, although I'm incredibly busy. Fun has been a little hard to come by these days! I work full-time and have been going to school mostly full-time, but I should be taking less hours my last year and a half. I have a very unhappy schedule in that I work the 3-11 shift.
I'm a bit scatterbrained at times (I just went into work today on my day off...oops) and messy (it's a sign of genius). I like to do a little of everything. I hate that I haven't gone camping or biking in more than a year. I'm going to fix that bike tire, I swear. I would like to travel but didn't have the money before. Now it's difficult to schedule with my friends. I like movies, reading, sewing (I've made a few dresses for myself), random craft projects, festivals, theater, cooking, tennis, miniature golf, swimming....I'm not going to go on. I guess I'm just trying to let you know that I like just about anything. Well, I've never really understood watching sports on TV....
My sense of humor is not going to come across here. It's a little sarcastic, wacky, odd, dirty at times. Just depends on my mood.
I'm offended that in the pets question includes only cats and dogs. I have fish which I think are pretty cool. They may be harder to cuddle with, but they leave less fur.
So that's the best I can do. If you don't like it, then...I might have to sit and cry all night.....thanks a lot!
What I’m doing with my life
Longer answer: I am a psychiatric nurse and still going to school to get my master's in psychiatric nursing (aka, a psychiatric nurse practictioner).
Once I get done with all of that, I hope to take classes in art, drama, anything more interesting than nursing!
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich, Tarrantino and Woody Allen in general, Gross Point Blank, Notes on a Scandal, most movies with Emma Thompson (Junior excluded) or Kate Winslet (Titanic excluded), The Sea Inside, Lord of the Rings trilogy, David Wain movies (Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten, Role Models)....I won't go on
I'm adding TV here: Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, 30 Rock, Strangers with Candy, Reno 911, Weeds, Monk, Xfiles, true crime shows (A&E's Cold Case Files is my favorite)
Music: Chicks with cool voices, such Zooey Deschanel, Liz Phair, Lisa Loeb, Regina Spektor; REM; I like most music but I don't necessarily pay attention to whom or what I'm listening to.
Food: Thai is probably my favorite, but I like to try anything.
The six things I could never do without
1. Diet Pepsi (or Diet Coke if it's on sale)
2. Movies although I haven't seen many recently
3. Fun clothes
4. Cooking
5. Craft/art projects
6. My comfy, comfy bed
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
The other Fridays, I generally go out with friends to dinner, a bar, a comedy show, etc.
