My self-summary
Fun loving, usually on the go or planning the next adventure.
A friend once described me as an australio-mexican-spanish-american-guatemalan. But that is quite a mouthful.
I moved to Mexico City a year ago and am still discovering new places while also figuring out my favorites. I´m looking for someone who can hold his own in a conversation, is active and athletic, and enjoys getting out and experiencing new things.
What I’m doing with my life
I´m settling back into Mexico City after having lived abroad for over 13 years in several different countries. I work for a women's reproductive rights organization and travel for international meetings often
I’m really good at
cycling, maintaining friendships even if they are miles away, listening, laughing, spending time by myself with a good book, and meeting interesting people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently ploughing through Word War Z and although I'm not a huge zombie fan I love it! Taking it from the purely public health epidemic perspective it's interesting to see how each country reacts. Recently finished the Game of Thrones series. Mountains beyond Mountains convinced me to study public health. Carlos Ruiz Zafon novels. Currently reading a Sandra Cisneros novel and love how Spanglish it is.
Some classics that I´ll never erase from my iPod include Gillian Welch, Thievery Corporation, Johnny Cash, Julieta Venegas. Recently added Mumford and Sons by recommendation of my 4 year old niece.
I most often crave sushi, tacos al pastor, and hamburgers.
The six things I could never do without
Family, friends, my bike, a good kitchen, books, good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next vacation, which country I'll move to next and when, and how to get out on my bike more often
On a typical Friday night I am
Having dinner with friends, relaxing after a long stressful week at work.
