Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have had a rich, fulfilling life. I finally made my way to NYC
from Indiana to pursue a dream in the Arts. What a fantastic city!
However, I bounced across the country to Los Angeles and met my
husband, had two amazing children and after a few more bounces from
coast to coast, ended up in Florida. After spending three years in
Sri Lanka, teaching, I now begin a new chapter, without husband,
but near my two dear children in Austin. I am excited and anxious
to see what happens next!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am going to the opera, theatre, concerts and Austin points of
interest. I still travel often. I plan to continue traveling and
creating new memories. I also investigate opportunities to do
meaningful work in the community.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
It would take a lot of silly sentences to say what I do
successfully. I have had a lot of life experiences. I am a great
Mother and have many skills in the Arts and Education. But, perhaps
I should mention what I am not good at, such as technology.....ooh,
I struggle with it because I have to! My son is an IT expert and
says, "Figure it out yourself, Mom". I quess the artistic side of
my brain is stronger than the logical side.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think people may notice my smile and sense my upbeat energy at
first meeting. I love people - from all walks of life - and can be
socially at ease within and in front of large groups of people.
However, I love my alone time as well and do not have to have
people around me in order to fill a sense of well-being.

Oh, my gosh, a I a 'foodie'. Along with a love of diverse people,
goes my love of diverse foods....hence the desire to travel. I am
an avid cook and enjoy entertaining my family and friends with
great food, conversation, and sometimes entertainment. Shifting
gears from my love of a 'movable feast', I enjoy reading immensely.
Although I have a Kindle, there is nothing like holding a book in
one's hands and being able to flip back and refresh one's memory of
characters and dates mentioned earlier in a story. Still being a
professional performer, I adore going to the Theatre and seeing
movies. I try to keep growing and learning as I move forward in
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could never do without my children, close friends, my personal
integrity, a sense of adventure, a need to continue learning and
giving, and the knowledge that there is not just a 'whole world'
out there, but also a whole universe that is guided by a higher
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend time thinking about whatever activity/adventure/project I
am currently engaged in. I think about the near and interpersonal
relationships of my close friends and family. On a larger scale, I
involve myself with political issues on a local, national, and
worldly scale, as well as how I can give of myself on a community
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
No Friday night is 'typical' for me. I am adaptable and flexible
and liable to decide to fly to NYC to visit friends on next Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not accustomed to 'dating'. I was married for 25 years and
have not had a relationship since 2008 - so I am leery and it will
take me some time to get comfortable with a new person.
