I love life and try to enjoy every minute of it with zest. Exercise, activity and eating healthy are important to me - but I still love the occasional deep fried onion ring, afternoon on the couch and good book. I like have a broad range of hobbies and love dabbling in sketching, writing, refinishing furniture, carpentry, Words with Friends and getting the perfect landscape design. I have also put a lot scientific effort in to studying the value of a cold beer on a hot day.

I am equally at home on the water, in the woods or in the City (help keep America looking good :-) I especially enjoy tubing, kayaking and fishing. I enjoy bowling (thank you gutter guards), playing darts (fun till someone loses an eye), euchre and pool. You may also see me meeting friends at a sports/karaoke bar or piano bar (this is your warning that it is time to leave the bar when it happens). However, you will not hear me singing, if you are lucky. You could say my singing voice would make police interrogation easy.

My job leads me in a lot of diverse directions and interactions requiring that I wear a lot of different hats. In my professional career, I have bought and demolished homes, rescued a dog or two, did some environmental sampling, and filed an occassional police report as a few examples.

I have a strong sense of morals but get little out of regular church attendance (so I suppose being a free spirit applies here - no pun intended). I enjoy being creative and have been cajoled into many an art project.

I am part Chickasaw, as you can tell by alabaster skin, much to my regret my relatives tan in 5 minutes in the sun and I try to see what shade of red I can attain. I speak a bit of Spanish and Russian and have a background in GIS - Geography, International Studies and Economics.

As a dedicated Vikings fan, I only root for the Lions when playing the Packers, actually I root for anyone playing the Packers. I find the college football fervor here interesting - but frankly just don't get it. Then again if you followed the Gophers for years you would understand.

Outside of the usual work, family etc... I am relearning the art of sketching, repairing the siding on the house and investing in friendships old and new.
Some of the recent activities have been:
Just finished doing some surgery on a pumpkin to make it look like a puppy.
Baked some pumpkin seeds.
Watched a You Tube video I was in.
Played Wits and Wages.
And narrowly avoided the gracious gift my neighbor's dog left in the front yard for me.

Multitasking, parenting (mostly), computer repair, handyman work (some women have told me that this is better than sex, not confirming, just repeating what I was told), humor, conflict resolution (using words and body language not a stun gun) euchre, appreciating life, animal husbandry, cooking breakfast, Words with Friends and lip syncing.

I would love to just a get away with saying my front side and then my back side when I am leaving but I guess I am required to come up with something less cheeky. So here it goes. Blue eyes is the one I hear the most. Then courteous, mischievous, rugged hands (a palm reader's fantasy), well spoken and solid.

I will likely never read them but I love women who just read Shades of Grey. Have been waiting forever for the next installment of the Crown of Swords series. Always remember reading, Germinal, Watership Down, The Hobbit, and history books like Sunken Ships of WW 2 etc... Most movie genres, except those intended to depress you - sorry Schindler's List. I greatly enjoyed Horrible Bosses (you know who you are), Serendipity, Shaun of the Dead to name a few - I may also like dramas too but will not admit it here, and you cannot get me to tell you which ones.

Love all kinds of foods and will try just about anything once (generally has to be cooked) - Mediterranean cuisine is my favorite.

Music is food for the soul and accordingly I try to keep my soul healthy by listening to all kinds of it (70's songwriters, metal, alternative, big band, classical and yes County and Western). Hip Hop has been known to cause my soul a headache.

Saw Wicked on Broadway it was outstanding - really have not seen a play I did not like. Vegas has the best stage acts though. Not real big on gambling, but still have a good time.

Family, friends, music, books, modern medical science and paper products.

Honestly, this question is meant to trap men - ladies you know it, I bet it was a conspiracy. Okay, all men think about that, if you do not know what I mean - google what men think about every five to ten seconds. Ahem, now back to business, I think about finances, where I am supposed to turn, did my daughter wear warm enough clothes, who touched the shopping cart handle before me and does that sanitizer I finally decided to use really going to make a difference.

I also think about what it would be like to be spending my time hanging out with a great lady, having some coffee or a couple drinks.

Football - goes without saying, you may even catch me thinking about it while I am having coffee with aforementioned great lady, while she thinks about what color she wants the granite counters to be in the kitchen - we all do it from time to time.

At home with my daughter (50/50 custody) or out with friends and once in a while I will just hang at home after a long week.

You like kids, like to have fun, enjoy wearing blue jeans and no makeup, like the outdoors and culture, independent, open to learning and trying new things, enjoy travel, like to discuss the world around you, can get your hands dirty, like to smile and can roll with the punches. A great cook and lots of creativity would be a bonus.
