My Self-Summary
I am a recovering catholic from a large boisterous Italian/Irish
family. It means that I can share, I like to be around people, and
messes and loud noises don't bother me a bit. For fun, I like being
in the outdoors hunting for rocks and gems, mushrooms, shells, owls
(just to look at them) and hidden waterfalls. I also like to let
loose with my friends - who are just about the craziest, funnest
group of people around. I also have a passion for social justice so
volunteering and giving back to my community are important to me. I
think it is important to take action to make a positive impact on
the world around you.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a social worker. I own my own house and have a spritely
housecat who keeps me company. In the next ten years I hope to get
my license (LCSW) and perhaps have my own private practice, travel
to Italy and s. America, get a dog, get married and have one or two
kids.
I’m really good at
Singing opera, growing tomatoes, making a dull situation fun,
decorating for halloween parties, being a friend.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite book of all time: Fragrant Palm Leaves by Thich Nhat Hanh.
All I have to do is read a passage of this book, and the day is
suddenly brighter. I am burnt out on movies right now, but one that
comes to mind is "I heart huckabees". A movie that I saw recently
that really shook me was "The Reader". I like a variety of music.
In the past two years, I started getting into classical more since
I picked up singing opera for fun. Recently I saw Gogol Bordello in
concert - fun! Right now I am listening to Kings of Convience as I
type this - so my likes are varied and I always like to find new
music to get hooked on. I love all kinds of food. I think Portland
is a great place to eat! I like to cook for friends and family -
recently I have been devising great ways to prepare fish. I tend to
like savory vs. sweet and tend to combine cooking and music - like
playing Bellini while cooking spaghetti.
